Thank you all that replied with input to my Q about Graphics card to buy. Yhis is what i've decided.

I'll buy the Saphire Atlantis 9700 PRO 128 + a 2.6 GHz (400MHZ) CPU as a way to prolonge the life of my DELL 8200.

(Current specs
1.8 GHz
1 GB RDRAM
120 GB HDD
GF 3 Ti500 64
+ a little more)

Did i make the right choise? What do ya say?

Regards!

You'd be WAY ahead of the game if you bought a genuine ATI card instead...have heard of many quality problems with the third-party cards. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

had 9700 pro Sapphire 2 months ago and now have Hercules 9800 pro - no probs at all. Go for it, in my view.

As to CPU - get big cooler fan - had some problems with AMD 2600 reachng some 75 deg C on startup

I've heard Saphire makes ATI label cards.

You smug-faced crowds with kindling eye
Who cheer when soldier lads march by,
Sneak home and pray you'll never know
The hell where youth and laughter go.
