I noticed Boosher taklking in the Yak thread about waiting until you see the Bf109 slats pop out, now I have never seen this happen in the game and didnt realise you could see it at all...

I have played the game a lot and even while flying a bf109 have not noticed slats popping out..

1: Can you actually see on an attacking 109 if the slats are out?

2: When you are flying the Bf109 how can you tell if the slats have come out?

Thanks.

Yes http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif However one is too busy in theese moment's to think about it http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

You can see it ofcoures, other than that strong buffeting and huge speed loss, almost airbrake effect. That's why I know all those things, I tried to check what kind of manouvers(stick deflection and speed) can I make without slats coming out and thus reduce speed loss...

Plenty other planes also have slats that come out at high(ish) AoAs: Bf110, Me262, La5, Lagg3, MiG just to name a few.

I always fly with cockpit on mate, without exception.

Flying without cockpit on totally ruins the immersion for me.

I actually like flying with externals on some of the time http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Externals off is fun too, I like both.

However I must always have cockpit on. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
