I'm currently in the process of building a gaming review site, and looking for knowledgeable people to write a detailed review about 'Assassin's Creed'.

If you are interested or you have questions or would like more information regarding what we are looking for and payment, please e-mail me.

gamerzreviewz@gmail.com.

Thank you.

I'm not very good, but I'll give it a try. Do we need to add any specific subject matter to the E-mail so you know who/what it's about?

Easy72

PM the details of bob's question as well = )

Bobfish_Almight

What do you mean Easy?

Easy72
05-15-2008, 04:19 PM
I was just asking the original poster whoever it may be to fill me in on the details via PM about what they really want, I mean they can answer that here too, but oh well.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 07:35 AM
Oh I see, I thought you were asking them to send you the details of the question I asked, not the answer. I'm a silly horse sometimes. Incidentally, has he sent you answer because I have nothing as yet?

Hey,

Sorry for the delay of response, we've been pretty busy over here.

I have sent you both private messages regarding what we are looking for.

If anybody else is interested we are still looking for writers for Assassins Creed as well as other games.

Just fire us an e-mail at:

gamerzreviewz@gmail.com

Thank you.

I wouldn't mind writing a review, but I have to keep my style...

I refuse to do the boring standard review, I wll review it if I am allowed to keep my sinister hate and resentment of the smallest things.

Although, in the end, my judgment will be fair and agreeable...

But the points I will bring up will be devastatingly presented... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Your choice if you want my help or not...

Bobfish_Almight

I'll be honest with you Scythe. I'm going to listen to a review far more if someone gives me an honest opinion. After years of subjecting myself to Gamer TV what I really want is a real, honest, genuine opinion on which to form my decision. Not painfully and obviously purchased propaganda

ScytheOfGrim
05-16-2008, 08:13 AM
Oh, I know... and that's what makes reviews like Yahtzee's so bloody entertaining... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 08:15 AM
He's the dude who hates everything isn't he

ScytheOfGrim
05-16-2008, 08:17 AM
Oh, yes... absolutely everything... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

Except No More Heroes... 0_o

And GTA IV... >_>

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 08:20 AM
Nothing wrong with that. As long as it's a genuine opinion. But notice how he doesn't hate one of the worst games in the world ever

ScytheOfGrim
05-16-2008, 08:22 AM
I know... proves that he isn't being pampered by anyone to say anything. xD

He also like Assassin's Creed a lot...
I can't figure out as to why...
Considering his personality... maybe he liked he originality?

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 08:27 AM
From what I understand, he still hated it, he just had some positive things to say about it as well

ScytheOfGrim
05-16-2008, 08:28 AM
No, it was the other way around.

He mentioned a lot of bad things, but in the end said that he loved it.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 08:30 AM
Fair enough. I never actually seen any of his reviews, only been told about them second-hand. And you know how reliable that is

ScytheOfGrim
05-16-2008, 08:35 AM
Zero Punctation's Assassin's Creed review (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/zeropunctuation/2694-Zero-Punctuation-Assassin-s-Creed)

Enjoy.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 08:37 AM
Just so you know, that isn't me. Seriously it isn't

Sounds good to us, the only thing we will frown upon is swearing.

Fire us an e-mail at gamerzreviewz@gmail.com and let us know that you are interested.

We hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 09:17 AM
Does that include all usage of harsh language, or is there some leeway for the 'soft' curses like *** and damn?

tomb_raider198
05-16-2008, 09:23 AM
That should be fine.

I believe bobfish_almight that I have sent you a private message as well.

There are other games that we would like to have reviewed as well, not just assassin's creed.

Just fire us an e-mail at gamerzreviewz@gmail.com and we will then send you the list.

Thank you all. We hope to hear from each and everyone of you.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 09:25 AM
Yeah, I got it, thanks. I checked the list as well, Creed is the only one that I have at the moment. And, to be honest, is the only new game I'm likely to have for some time. I'm working on it now, you'll have it in an hour or two

Edit : Before I forget, would you prefer the text in an E-mail or as an attachement? And if the later, can you read .sxw files?

tomb_raider198
05-16-2008, 09:27 AM
Thank you.

Sorry for repeating the e-mail, it's just for other users who might be reading this thread that's all.

We appreciate the review and we can't wait to hear it.

Just a quick question however, which platform are you writing about?

an attachment would be fine in the e-mail and yes we can read .sxw files.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 09:29 AM
I have neither a Playstation 3 nor X-Box so I'll be geared very much towards the PC for the foreseeable future

tomb_raider198
05-16-2008, 09:30 AM
Awesome.

Thank you so much.
We're stoked to read it.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 09:33 AM
I'll be quick as I can. And I might even work up a video for it if <STRIKE>I get the chance</STRIKE> I can be arsed to do it

Bobfish_Almight

Okay, done and sent. I hope it meets with your approval

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 04:45 PM
Damn. My plot has been foiled

Marek86
05-16-2008, 04:49 PM
I would do one, but I'm far too lazy....

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 04:50 PM
I already did mine so neh http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Marek86
05-16-2008, 05:15 PM
How much are you getting paid?

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:17 PM
There should be a link to a website that goes through all the details on the first page. And I'm not sure if I am getting paid yet. I've been told my review was acceptable, but not confirmed whether it will be used yet

Marek86
05-16-2008, 05:19 PM
oh I see...if the money is worth it I may consider.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:20 PM
Any money is worth it for doing nothing mate

Marek86
05-16-2008, 05:21 PM
lol, do you have a job?

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:22 PM
No, I don't

Marek86
05-16-2008, 05:24 PM
Oh I see, how do you make a living?

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:29 PM
I don't

Marek86
05-16-2008, 05:33 PM
lol I wish I could do that, but then I'd prolly die or something, or get dumped.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:34 PM
No, dude, you don't. It's not a good place to be

Marek86
05-16-2008, 05:37 PM
Can't you get a job then, like what are you into that might help you earn a career?

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:39 PM
After being unemployed for as long as I have, and being acutely agorophobic, my options are limited. Hence me being so keen to work on this review

Marek86
05-16-2008, 05:41 PM
Oh I see, that could complicate things.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:43 PM
Exactly. I've started writing again, but I'm not very good. So the opportunity to have things published will greatly assist me in that endeavour

Marek86
05-16-2008, 05:44 PM
ahh, well that's good = )

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:46 PM
It will be if it pans out. Breaking into the writing world, though there's very little competition any more, is extremely difficult simply because of that lack. They want to be completely sure that anything which does see print is going to be worth the investment

Marek86
05-16-2008, 05:48 PM
Yeah, I would say jobs in genral are hard to find, I remeber my first job, lol I was a receptionist my freshman year fo highschool.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:53 PM
I was a paperboy at fifteen

Marek86
05-16-2008, 05:53 PM
haha nice, I bet that was a workout eh?

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 05:59 PM
Eh, it wasn't too bad. it was a pretty small round. Took me about thirty minutes. Hey, Marek, you wouldn't happen to need any freelance scripwriters would you?

Marek86
05-16-2008, 06:07 PM
Well I might, but it's up to my actors, cause we have a specific sort of style, but if you want you can watch more vids, and get the gist of it, this summer though we have a load of scripts, so it all depends on how much we get done too.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 06:08 PM
Cool, cool. Just remember that the offer stands. If you're ever in a bind give me a nudge. I'll whip up a few bits and pieces for you to proofread as well if you like, just to see if it's the kind of thing you're after

Marek86
05-16-2008, 06:10 PM
yeah I totally appreciate it, the only thing is is that we usually only find time to shoot in the summer lately, because around september, it's back to school. But I'll hit you up when we think of something = )

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 06:14 PM
No worries mate. I may not be very good, but I really enjoy writing

Marek86
05-16-2008, 06:17 PM
I have no doubts you're good = ) and it is quite a entertaining hobby.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 06:21 PM
Well, your faith is misguided, but I accept your compliment with humility *horse bows*

Marek86
05-16-2008, 06:23 PM
lol thanks

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 06:24 PM
No, thank you

Marek86
05-16-2008, 06:27 PM
lol you're welcome kind sir!

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 06:28 PM
I'm a horse. And I'm really getting anxious now to know whether I'm going to be paid for my Creed review. I hope so, I really need the money

Marek86
05-16-2008, 06:30 PM
lol "Somebody pay the ma-....Horse!"

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 06:31 PM
That's right, I'm a horse

moqqy
05-16-2008, 07:30 PM
I doubt you'll need the money you'd be getting from that review. It's close to five euros, if you even get anything, I'd be willing to bet.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 07:52 PM
Any money is better than none Mog

moqqy
05-16-2008, 07:55 PM
Yeah, just saying. Probably won't pay that much if he's looking up reviewers from a forum..

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 07:58 PM
It says twenty dollars on the webpage. Double if you do a video. Hardly anything write home about, but it's better than a kick in the *** (unless you're like me, ahem) and it gets me something I can add to a portfolio so I'm all for it

moqqy
05-16-2008, 08:00 PM
Yes, portfolio is the best thing you'll get out of it.

Bobfish_Almight
05-16-2008, 08:01 PM
Is there anything better in the grand scheme of things?

ScytheOfGrim
05-17-2008, 12:40 AM
Yes.

Portfolios are just a bunch of writing that are supposedly true about you...
So there has to be something more accurate and useful in the "grand scheme of things"...

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 12:46 AM
I'm not sure I understand what you mean by that. Portfolios also often contain examples of work you've done previously. And something like this would be a great boon when applying for work in a journalism field

ScytheOfGrim
05-17-2008, 12:49 AM
But does that mean that you will be able to excel at that field?
No.
Does it mean that you will be comfortable in that field?
No.

I say just get a job at McDonald's and work your way around from there... they don't care about a silly little folder...

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 12:56 AM
But I don't want to work at Mc'Donalds. I don't, in all honesty, want to work in journalism either. I want to be an English teacher, but that will never happen, so writing is the next best thing. And whilst having a portfolio doesn't prove anything in and of itself, the fact that I've had previous work published at least shows I have a grounding

ScytheOfGrim
05-17-2008, 12:57 AM
True...
Why can't you be an English teacher?

Was it due to bad career planning earlier on?

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 01:05 AM
I have a criminal record

ScytheOfGrim
05-17-2008, 01:07 AM
Awesome!
Kick and run?

LaurenIsSoMosh
05-17-2008, 01:23 AM
Being a zombie horse is a felony in fourty-nine states, the District of Columbia, and Costa Rica.

The only state to not enforce it is West Virginia.

Bobfish_Almight
05-17-2008, 01:26 AM
Uhm, yeah, whatever. It sucks. So I'm back to the one thing that I'm worse at than art and trying to make a living out of it. Sucks to be me. I can send you a short story I wrote, or point you to the short story competition if you don't believe me
