Hey Ivan, don't forget to drink plenty of water while you're down there. You know the sun can dry you out and all.

All the ski resorts are closed here for lack of snow.

Temps in the 60's,blue slies, gentle winds, moderate humidity.

Not bad for January at 3500 feet.

Absolutely no sign of snow - man, it's 34 degrees here in SE Queensland....

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif...wait, are you talking about the east coast of AMERICA?

(...and people claim Americans are ego-centric...)

Have a good holiday!

Do Aussies mention having an east coast? As in...is there anything on the west coast that you would even need to specify the east one?

Just wondering, because to my knowledge everything worth doing on an Aussie coast is on the east one, right?

Australia has 7 main Cities on the mainland and Hobart in Tasmania , Perth being the City on the west coast in Western Australia.
Yes people do live on the west coast of Australia.

Australia can be recognised on the map as a BIG chunk of land seperated by a large body of water from the USA. Yes its true, trust me. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

I forgot about Perth...don't hear much about it I guess. Just asking, matey.

Yes, I know all about Australia's location...we saved it's butt in a war once. Yes it's true, trust me.

"It's life, Jim, but not as we know it."

Melburnian, went over to Perth last year for a couple of months. FANTASTIC climate, hot but dry, but a lot of the people... bogans, rednecks, conservatives. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Thankyou, I was not aware America had saved Australia before during wartime, perhaps they are a very modest people and never tell anyone of such things.

No snow on the western coast of Kyushu as yet. Well, none in Kumamoto but heaps up around Aso-san. Almost go snowed in while visiting the caldrea and going to the Kagura festival around Takamori. Strange to see white stuff falling from the sky when your from Australia originally http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

My topic comment...no snow here, bro. Ours melted today and the car washes were packed.

I don't think most Americans or Aussies I've met are modest, do you (the ones you've met, I mean)? I'll leave it at that.

And I guess you're not aware that the IJN/A had your country in its sites? Who stopped them from taking advantage of such a target? It was the country that doesn't know its 7 continents, apparently. Reply if you like, but I'm outta here. Cheers.

Ok one last reply from me before we both experience Ivans Holiday getaway which ironically is most likely located in a snow resort. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes im fully aware of the WW2 situation Australia found itself in but was enjoying a stint at sarcasm previously.

After sending most of our troops to the Mother land (England) to help her fight against Germany. Australia post December 1941 was open to Invasion from Japan with little defence or help from Mr Churchill as he thought it best to leave most of our troops in England to fight the Germans. The Americans assisted Austalian as well as troops from various other nations to halt the Japanese from further advances in the region.

Secondly Australia only consists of one principal land mass (bar Tasmania), perhaps you were refering to Australia's 7 mainland capital cities mentioned previously?.

Hmph. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif <insulted> Only after Japanese smacked US butts embarrasingly at Pearl harbour did self-absorbed Yanks join in 'war against tyranny.'

Some of the best surfing and diving in the world is on Australia's west coast, it's just not as developed for tourism. Lots of other stuff to do there as well.
