I need a reasonable, flyable, substitute for the Hawk75 that the Vichy flew against Operation Torch. I was planning on using the Hawk81A-2, even though it uses a different engine (inline vs radial). Any suggestions?

Sorry, I'm not getting this one FluffyDucks. Is this some forbidden topic?

Also need a good substitute for the French Dewoitine D520. Any ideas?

Not really sure how to help you for the H75, but the P-40 might just work for it. As for the D.520, a lot of people have been using LaGG models, which works well for me. Be adventurous, try a few things.

Thanks, Boosh! For now, I've put the Tomahawk IIa in, since it seems roughly a blend of the Hawk 75 and the D.520, and it comes with a desert cam default paint job, which works in this theatre.

I'll have a look at the LaGG, too.

The Mod has a flyable Hawk 75A-3 and A-4.

in case you want to make some skins for the AI hawk 75 http://wp.scn.ru/en/ww2/f/78/21/0

F4F would make a good stand in

This would be a very cool release. Are you building a single mission or a campaign?

Rudi_Jaeger has some excellent Dewoitine skins over at M4T. Try there.

Thank you very much, guys, for all the suggestions! I will look into all of them.

Oddball, unfortunately, in Operation Torch, the Hawk75 was flying against the F4F, so that might not work too well. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif Thanks for that marvellous link!

Tab_Flettner, I am just making a dogfight map for my own squad server, using the map from bird_brain's "Cat o'9 Tales" campaign as a base. (credited, of course) In his campaign, there are AI Hawk75, but on a dogfight map, I need something to substitute.

Divine-Wind, thanks. I found Rudi's Ki-100 hack as a MB-152, but it was Browning50cal who had the Lagg3 hacked as a D.520.

Oh, was it Browning? Oops... Well, Rudi_Jaeger still has some BoF skins. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Just a coincidence, as I have no knowledge of the Mod, and my question was a request for a similar flyable substitute for that aircraft. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/touche.gif

1) Take a Hawk-81, Tomahawk or P-40 as you prefer.

2) Put it on a junk-food diet and don't allow it any exercise for 2 weeks.

3) Enjoy.

(sorry, couldn't resist)

On a more serious note, have you considered the Buffalo?
