why is the whole genetic memory idea included in the game?? i dont like how you have to quit playing after every assassination and get out of the memory-bed thing. It doesn't make sense to me about why they would include some modern day material in the game. Does anybody know the reason why?

You find out in the first minute of the game.

I thought it was weird at first, but I have a feeling the story line will get really interesting toward the end and its something different. I'd be cool if genetic memory was real

Dude, it doesn't happen after every assassination, just the first one.

im a huge fantasy-genre fan so i would have loved a game just in altairs world. But i must admit contrary to many others, i believe this modern aspect of the game to be very intriguing and a key component of the game, despite what that *****y US IGN ****** says. Man that guy contradicts himself so much...."assassins creed one of the top 5 most disappointing games of all time", then goes on to say how "cool" it is....f&$#ing ******

Well technically... the whole Holy Lands section of the game could not exist without the modern aspect. The storyline explains that within the first moments of the game.

Seems to add to the plot. I'm liking it.

The genetic memory thing is the whole point of the story. That's why it's going to be a trilogy (probably taking place in different time eras.)
