View Full Version : Can't use Throttle in-game(Saitek Evo stick)-Edited-

Just got a brand new Saitek Evo stick with my copy of IL2 46. My throttle isn't working in-game. I try to map the controls(engine power) to it in-game but it doesn't do it. I have the SST software and the Evo drivers installed. The throttle definitely works as I tested it in the stick properties. Just can't get it to work in-game.

It didn't work before I installed the drivers and SST software either. I don't see the point in the SST stuff, it was just a headache to install. Might uninstall it to see if that helps.

I am kinda new to this, so am I missing something? Please, any help or tips for this raw recruit would be very appreciated.

In the game hit Controls and scroll down to the bottom. Click to the right of the rudder and move the rudder on the stick.

That's the very first thing I tried, it doesn't work for some reason.

Check Conf.ini [rts_joystick] section.
If there's any lines in there like:

??=0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 0

change 'm into
??=0 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 0

(Or post that [rts_joytsick] section in here...)

Sorry, I made a mistake, I'm not trying to use it as a rudder, but for the throttle(engine power). It won't let me map to it in the in-game controls.

That [rts_joystick] thing looks good.

Maybe this: You have to left-click the mouse on the right hand side of the screen, at the level of 'Power' under HOTAS all the way down, so a 'box' will open. Looks like this:

Then move the throttle handle on the stick
