So I paid almost 50$ to buy this game. Thats a bit high don't you think?

I would have expected about 25-30$, or am I being charged for the lag? My last three online flights have caused me to lag into my target. Lost 5 kills that way.

Well you know...different stores do have the same peices of software for varrying prices. Here in Canada Futureshop had FB for $69.99, EB had a copy for $48.99 and Compusmart had it for $39.99.

So you do a little shoping, some calling, and find out the best price. Far and away...NOBODY involved in the development of IL-2 (in other words the people you are talking to here such as Oleg and other fans) have any sort of influence on the price that the store you bought it from had it out for.

More than likely, it was either a store or chain markup percentage from the initial cost price that they pay for it from their distributor.

Now lag has a whole bunch of different factors. For instance, if you have a Cable or DSL or otherwise dedicated internet connection your lag is generally going to be less. Then you have the ping time to the server. Look for servers under 100ms if you can. Then you have packet loss which can be caused by anything from a bad wire in the neighborhood (cable, dsl, and regular phone lines) to a hub malfunctioning somewhere along your route to the server. The closer the server is to your location, the less likely that you're going to run into lag.

In general FB has extremely good network code, with little in the way of severe warping. Similar programs in the past have not functioned nearly as well.

You think lag is cheap to make? Be grateful for now. The patch will give you twice the lag.

I *think* you should get an artest to render the guy that was holding the gun to your head when you bought the game and take that picture down to the police station ASAP! The longer you wait the more likly the store camera video of the day in question will get copied over and they wont be able to get any good leads on this guy who forced you to pay $50.00 for this game.

Remember...each store sets their own price based on the cost from their distributor. MS may have the price high initially but each store then sets the price higher for their own profit (a standard practice in any store trying to stay afloat mind you).
