Don't know if these have already been considered, but could we get drop tanks for the Fw-190D9, Fw-190A8 and A9? They all guzzle a lot of fuel down, and I find that 100% is barely enough in single player campaigns.

Also, could we get wing drop tanks for the P-47D-22 and D-27? As well as 1000lb bomb armanents for the wing racks.

In addition, couldn't some Fw-190As carry 250kg bombs on the wings?

I heard more complete loadouts are planned in future patches/addons.

Whilst we are on drop tanks, does everyone else have theirs automaticaly punched off if the rest of the flight do, even if I am in control and want to keep them ?

Yes, drop tanks for the late Fw-190's are definatly needed.

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.</center>

Or at the very least let us control fuel mixture like pre-1.1 -- even though it may not be realistic. Whatever it takes for us to be able to have "longer legs."

Talking about droptanks and seeing the p38 on your tag reminded me of a real pilot story from the pacific:

Not having bombs available for their p38:s some us pilots used droptanks to sink japanese ships - They would fly on wawetop at max speed towards the ships broadside and drop their full gasolinetanks against the hull and the last plane on the formation would light the gas up with cannonfire.

Ohh I'd love a sim that would allow such tactics /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Anyways, BUMP on the tank issue, they are needed for the original purpose as well.

ps. the book was called "Get Yamamoto" and it is a great read.
