If I win the lotto, forget Spitfires, P51s etc, etc. THATS what I'm buying !!

Classic website with terrific footage, well done posting this. You can plainly hear the engine bits pinging together.

What a horrible looking little beast. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif You have to love that the exhaust header dumps out right beside the pilot's head.

Planes like this, and others of the era are the ultimate pleasure cruisers. Low and slow is a good way to enjoy flying and the scenery.

First I ever saw that site... GREAT site!

Who wouldn't love to fly in that? I sure would!

Actually, the pilots loved this as they could warm their (gloved) hands on the exhausts when flying at high altitude http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

That plane is way cooler than a Spitfire!

Aye!

I was doing a cold early-spring cycling event one year and I remember how cool the moto-cop was to let me tuck right up next to his exhaust pipe. Made pulling the whole pack around worth it.
