I've been on these boards daily for almost three years and the one thing I've always wondered is what do these guys look like who post these interesting threads. I've read where you live, how old you are, what you do for a living, but I've never seen you. So how about it? Post a picture and let us really get to know each other. I'll overcome my natural shyness and go first. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v30/woof603/CruiseBoaz.jpg

Guys let's try to keep this thread primarily visual in nature.. meaning pictures.. not too much running dialog going. I believe that was the original spirit of the thread and we dont want to have to sift through pages of dialog between pictures. I will occasionally trim some of the dialog out so please do not take offense if you see a post of yours no longer here. It is nothing personal. Thnx, Bearcat

OK, they´re both not recent. The top one is from May 2001, I think,
10 days in Ireland helping a friend build his house, the bottom one is my current backyard,
that photo being taken sometime in 2003.

I would probably have been called "OnlySlightlyGreyBeast" back then.

Some of you look different to what I had imagined.

Old_Canuck, nice house!
CivilDog, I wouldn´t want to be caught by YOU doing anything "funny" LOL
tsisqua, let it roll!
BuzzU, I thought you were younger
PBNA-Boosher, I thought you were much older
FI_Willie, you're the REAL Werner (don't know if you know the German comic strip)

You need to load your pics onto a free site such as Photobucket. Here's how:

First register on Photobucket.

http://www.photobucket.com/

Once you€ve registered:

Press €˜search€ to add a pic. You will now be able to browse though the pictures in your own computer. Select the pic that you want to copy to Photobucket. Open the pic by pressing €˜open€.

The file must be smaller than 250 kb. It will be automatically re-sized if not.

Press €˜submit€.

Your picture will appear at the bottom of the page. If it does not then create a new album in the window provided, naming it f ex. €˜Album 01€

Mark and copy the address from the list of 3 image names that can be found besides the image , the one you want is the first one (URL)

(Paste in a Word document if you are saving this link, or attach it to a mail if that€s your intention).

TO ADD TO FB POSTS merely paste the address into where the €˜add picture€ symbol is, at the top of the €˜reply€ page.

EDIT: Sorry, I just saw someone got this away before me!! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gifhttp://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Tallyho, it's a P-63 that was salvaged from several planes that never flew.

Near the end of the movie, "The Best Years Of Our Lives", you will see the scrap pile this one came from.

Here is me with the lovely reason for the below-pictured clothing. Well worth the discomfort.

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y184/FlatSpinMan/CIMG0181.jpg

Hereis me in my day-to-day Jedi knight attire. Lightsabre was in the shop being repaired after a heavy bout of arm-severing. Anyway, back to reality, this is me last year in formal Japanese wedding dress. It would be difficult to find something more incomfortable and restrictive despite how it looks. What you can't see is the three towels and two cords wrapped around me to totally hide my shape (bulging pecs, sculpted abs, that kind of thing)

I bought it around 1979 in the UK, and it would have been at least 5 years old then, (it's not one of the earliest classics), but it's in beautiful condition....and has a great sound!!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
When I first moved from home I had no stereo and used to plug my turntable into it. This gave an amazing 'live' sound to everything.
I've only used it live on stage a few (fun) times. The volume it can put out amazes me.

I've recently had it reconditioned, and not too long ago replaced all the valves.
I envy you having a smaller amp to play on, I live in a flat (apartment), and can hardly play it at home (it works best loud and under pressure!).

Oh, ...and it's a 'Top Boost' . Not that I know what difference that is compared to standard. The only ones I know are TB.

It's travelled with me from England to Sweden, back to England and finally settled down in Sweden. I think that it's happy here!

It's full black in colour with no signs of going grey yet http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Unlike me!

Not a problem Carvalho the odd grimace, squinch, or glower is allowed. In the one I posted I look like I need more fiber in my diet. My girls kept saying "Smile daddy, c'mon smile.I said " This is how I smile when reflected sunlite from a camera lens is hitting me right in the eye" "Please take the picture now."

And before anyone thinks I'm really tall, I'm about 5'8 1/2", door behind me is about 5'9". When I first moved in to this Japanese apartment I always ducked. Now I just stride through like I live here or something. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I'll post one up in a few hours when i find a passable pic of myself and set up a Photodump account.

Just wanted to sa to Cajun that it's good to see you in the flesh (well sort of in the flesh).

You should try being 6'3" in Japan. It's not easy. During my first week in my apartment I woke up late for work and rushed from my bedroom to the kitchen. Well, attempted to rush. The 5'10" doorways in my apartment monentarily decided that I was better off unconscious and on the floor. Had a ringer of a headache for a week too.

Very nice picture 99th Obsidian. That must have been great to meet so many of those gentlemen at one time. I wonder how many hours of flight in WWII aircraft is represented in that shot.

I'm gonna start with a bzillion...each one in their own right due to lack of cycling like in other units were held over much longer than others... I would venture to say each one had 3-5 times the experience as others

Cool. I was just thinking I'd go see Tom Petty and the HBs with The Black Crowes this year when they stop in NJ on June 22nd. Do you work for the band?

No I've never read any of his books m8. I picked this as it was a bit of a humorous play on words and summed me up to a tee (ask my Mrs!). It also had the advantage of being quick for people to type on line e.g."Bo check 6!....2 late!".

You're supposed to say, "Bull$hit! You can be mine."

The Iceman gum chomp comes after Mav says "That's right! Ice -[swipes his shoulder]- man, I am dangerous."

On a sidenote, both of you are at least half naked in your pics. I don't want an explanation really, just an observation.

About the half-nudity:

I didn't take that pic for these forums, so I hope you understand that I wasn't trying to seduce anyone here. So if you're head over heals for me at this point, sorry, not my fault. That's my disclaimer, folks.
