Even though I don't receive Game Informer, someone did put up the score. (http://www.nintendoeverything.com/54913/)

It received a very honourable 9.25! I, as a gamer, personally don't care about scores. If you like a game you like it! If someone does receive the mag, please make sure to put it up, or some excerpts!

I don't even have the game right now, but i give it over 9000/10.I've been waiting for this forever.I can already see this game getting another Golden Joystick award.

yeah interms of genre they are in separate categories, but kirby's has been receiving many praises on it's visuals, and that is where kirby and acb may go head to head.

In all seriousness though, from what I heard Kirby's Epic Yarn was a great, cute, and visually pleasing game. I'm sure it deserved that 9.5 that so many reviews gave it, not that a number should determine whether YOU like a game or not. And I'm sure they justified ACB's 9.25. AC2 had to beat it's precedent, AC1, which isn't exactly difficult.

Basically, AC1 was the foundation, and they built a castle ontop of that and called it AC2. Then they decorated the castle, and made it extremely pretty, and renamed it ACB, which is not entirely a bad thing, it's just not as drastic of an evolution

I don't have a whole lot of interest in reviews. They are one person's opinion of the game and most times they are just butt kissers wanting to get more exclusives from the game company. This is also why I no longer get any gaming magazines.

Take the SIM'S for example, while all the games got very good reviews, I wouldn't play it if they payed me. It's the worst of the worst.

Bottom line, who cares what score it gets. It's up to the player to decide how good it is.

I never read reviews... and I certainly don't buy games based on them..

I just buy what I think I will enjoy http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

tbh anything over a 9 = excellent in my book..

This is the largest AC game to date.. the graphics have been improved, so I think it's worth a look http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Kirbys epic yarn is for kids, i dont know of any 30 year old man who would want to play that

Meh. All critics are biased and mostly rate games on graphics. Gamespot bashed one of my most favorite games just because the graphics didn't meet standards. It doesn't help the fact that the graphics were stylized. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Take G4 for example. During a show at E3, the developer goes on about the changes to the gameplay. The people at G4 interrupt with "Okay, yeah, but what I've really noticed is this game looks AMAZING"

I play games based on how fun and engaging they are. Not by how they look. I never judge a game by it's cover, unless it's eye-catching and makes me want to try it, which usually doesn't turn out as well.

I don't need some biased number to tell me what to play.
Kirbys epic yarn is for kids, i dont know of any 30 year old man who would want to play that People said Lego Star Wars was for kids, and I'm 20. I had just as much fun playing it as any kid would. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

Quoted for truth. Review or not, the first 2 games were absolute must haves. There's no way I won't be picking up this one. And any other rendition in the future. Ubisoft has done an excellent job with this series, and I've always been a fan of their work on Splinter Cell games (Conviction + PS3 pleeease! lol). I do like GI and read reviews quite often, but if I'm going to buy it, I'll go by a demo or past experience with the company.

I can see how kirby yarn whatevers could get a better grade, but I think they are missing an important aspect in all kirby games. YOU SUCK UP ENEMIES AND TAKE THEIR POWERS!

EmperorxZurg

I subscribe to GI and I haven;t gotten this yet :O

But I actually read reviews. Not to influence what I'll buy but to see what the main aspects a game seems to be showing/having trouble with. No review has ever stopped/influenced me http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

And from all the reviews I read, they never talk about graphics, albeit very shortly so yeah....

Thats actually explained in the story, and technically speaking the first game had no transformations while Epic yarn has several on command and area specific transformations, rather than hunting down for a particualr monster you want for its power.

Anyways, I like to read several reviews when im sitting on the fence for a game, and take into consideration the games objectives of what it wants the player to experience, then factor in its reputation for glitches and bugs or just bad stuff.

Sometimes you just gotta go by recommendations from actual players though. Otherwise I would have never played Darksiders, and that was one of my favorite games this year.

Hey can you provide a link of the reviews? Also, tell us when you get your copy!

Game Informer may have posted the first, but here's the best review of the game so far:

I wonder if I'll be reviewing it... Hope so, but I may be slightly biased...

Will be picking up my Codex Edition on release day (19th here), regardless of review scores or lack thereof, and regardless of whether I get a review copy or not.

Wow, people must throw out a lot of candy where you live. Personally, I prefer to eat the candy and just throw out the wrappers.
