You would think that a game of this caliber would have a person who could take a few hours to update the website with new information to generate intrest and make people think it was a cool game. At least you would think so.
Hello is anyone there? Mybe the night watchman could hop on the puter and let us have some info.

Guys, maybe it is safe to assume that since nobody has come to tell us anything, then there is nothing to tell. Thats usually how this kind of thing works. Dont mean to sound cocky but....well, ya'know

ok, from what i gathered is its an add-on, and the PE-2 specificly is a Russian Bomber. Is this add-on just adding the PE-2 or is it adding alot more? I read what I could find on pages 1-3 on it.

wow im surprised u actually went and looked most wouldnt. One of those threads shuda had a link to a review at www.simhq.com (http://www.simhq.com)

The addon will make changes to FM/DM and Ai no doubt, and adds the Pe2, Pe3 and not sure what else. Adds campaigns and missions. Also a few FMB object. It is said to be unavailable in the US and in fact, most places but Russia. Im guessing it will be rarer than AEP, which is dumb caus it raises the version of the game making it almost unplayeble online.

If the people running servers in your region cannot get it same as you then how will they run

If for no other reason, they pay the bills. More and more, I feel the people responsible for this series' production and distribution lose sight of that. While support for the game is excellent, the consumer relationship is sadly lacking. Sooner or later, another company will come along with a better product and hopefully better insight on customer service. When a company loses the idea that their customer comes first, then there's always someone else waiting to step in.

The Tu-2S is already in the game. It was the Tu-4, I believe, that was a backward engineered B-29. I think the Soviets managed to salvage 3 B-29s (re-designating them Tu-4s) which crash landed on Russian soil during the war, and then built a fourth one from scratch without the USA having the faintest idea of it, and flew them for all to see for the first time at some air show in 1947(?).

As far as I'm aware, the USA bigwigs kinda felt a warm smelly wetness in their underpants when they realised the Soviets had the ability to deliver nuclear weapons onto US soil!!

But no, they wont be flyable in the VVS-46 add-on. Unless you've heard something I haven't!

Hey there is no Pe2 coming because there are alot of bugs in it. Unless UBI is gona fix them ?
================================================

Unfortunately, in the case, described by FPSOLKOR, it is a confirmed bug.
On late models of Pe-2 (110 and 359) the rudder works even when they are completely shot off.
Another known bugs:

1. No nav lights and landing light on all Pe-2/3 models.
2. Instrument lights in the Pe-3 pilot cockpit don't work.

All bugs fixes will be released within the IL-10 add-on (4.06)

For what's it worth I called Ubi Finland yesterday. Talked with a nice and helpful guy there, who unfortunately knew nothing on the release date. He promised to email me though, if he found out anything.
And come on, people. Don't bash on Ubi 'cause you're frustrated, doesn't help any and those posts are tiresome to read. Ubisoft is actually a rather nice company when it comes to customer relations.
Now there's some real rude software companies around, take your pick and go yell at them. I'll give you a creambun. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Tu-4 was a direct COPY of B-29, based naturally on those B-29s, which emergency landed in SU after raids over Japan. The project was carried out by Tupolev design team under supervison of Beria, as the project had highest level of priority. Tu-4 first flew in may 1947. The type enetered service in 1949. And it was not a single example. In fact it was 847 examples! Production was stopped in 1952.

Don't know off-hand where i read this, or when.. but i remember it was written that their first reverse-engineered TU-4 even had a aluminum panel patch replicated. It was on the B-29 that they recovered, that had repaired battle damage, the patch covering some bullet holes, or something.

well when the penalty for failure is a lifetime vacation in a siberian gulag, you want to make a perfect copy, you don't want a shortcut to equal a bus ticket to oblivion.

its saturday now so I doubt there will be any news today....drag.

ahhh I've just seen the other thread...so UBI will hold the three addons, compile a DVD with all three (also including the just released merged DVD?), and then release that at some as yet to be determined date?....ok.

On a similar vein, Airfix built their first kit of the Hercules aircraft, they visited RAF Lynham to look round the Herc and were given a visit and photoshoot of one that was coming out of maintenance, it had just been dejacked and so still had the red painted jacking pads bolted to the side of the fuselage.......... and guess what, so did the released model http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

RAF Aircraft were notorious for crashing upon release of the models lol, they did the RAF Puma XV208 I think it was and shortly after its release the real deal had a collision with the planet earth......and in line with the chaos theory a butterfly in the Amazon Jungle fell off its perch http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Why didn't ubisoft release IL-2 DVD complete to the USA market? Why no PE-2 for the western market yet? I really think we are not going to see PE-2 outside of CIS, as it was said on these forums that the western version was sent to Ubisoft before the russian version.

i bet there will be no CD to buy. only "to pay for Download" !

But, I think that was independed of ubi.. the pay for dl thing was done on a 1C sight directly.. But the mods here say Oleg does not know the state of the Pe2, that it is in ubi hands.. So that would imply a CD not pay to dl

1C and UBI are just totaly different companies acting at different regions of the world. outside the former soviet states all IL2games things have to go over UBI........
