Hi all. I saw someone did this at the Lock On forums, and decided it was a great idea.

Who do you think was IL2 Forums member of the year?

Here are my submissions:

Rogodin - Awesome screenies, creator of the coolest thread EVER!!!

Extreme One - THE MAN when it coomes to Campaigns!

Adlabs6 - Always good advice and the X45 GURU!

Scragbat - Incredible movies!

Criteria...not much. Who has made an impact on your forum career?

Hunter82 for his good demeanor and imho excellent moderation as well as technical support advice.

Skychimp for the zillion charts he has produced and his honest campaign to get the P47 looked at.

And Gibbage...that man is a 3d model producing machine and for that I thank him profusely.

Salute

Bearcat, he's smooth as silk. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

Going to have to disagree on some of those choices, you won't find bigger *#^* slingers than some of those listed. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Bearcat99

SeafireLIV

There are some other decent folks here, but their names elude me right now. Please, don't be offended....http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm voting for myself because I am far cooler than anyone listed thus far... Just ask my mom.

essemm, this is a nice thread, and I am indeed flattered that I would come to anyone's mind. Thanks.

Bearcat gets my vote, as well as Hunter, Rogodin, Clint Ruin, Leadspitter because he loves this game more than even he knows, . . . I would say Oleg_Maddox, but I rarely see that guy in here anymore. LOL

And I would like to add that Thunak has been a great community manager. There wouldn't be a movie maker forum if he had just blown off the guys who were asking for it.

Too many good folks to mention, really. Steve V. is always there when help is needed . . . . I feel bad because I know that I am leaving people out, but thanks to all of you. I spend as much, if not more, time here than flying.

Salute to a great forum!

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

i'd like to nominate....drum roll please...

blitzpig_goose...sorry, goose, i can't remember your "official" UBI moniker.

goose's wit, sarcasm, knowledge base and overall fnebism kept this forum alive through daze of bannism, pilot loungism and erik estradaism (goose, can i have that $20.00 now?)...

however, i'm not even sure he even posted here in 2003...lol.

no seriously people, he posted some great stuff,

and, he encouraged my lazy a$$ to go from offline to online playing.

so, with a glass of '57 fneb in my hand, i toast you senoir goose! S!

Well, I think all of the guys listed are good candidates. It would be a hard call to make, but dont you just get the feeling that bearcat99 is just like,,,one of the nicest guys?

He seems like one of the people you would definitely want at a dinner party and someone who wouldnt make a big mess either...lol!

Aww, heck, I vote for bearcat this year, but there are lots of others....I like the posts from the guys who dont shake up the applecart, but rather always improve the content through intellect and demeanor. S~ Bearcat99..
