WEll, Good news mostly http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif . I hoped for a torpedo bomber cockpit though http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif And not trying to be a prophet or anything but when the boosted P-47 makes it online I expect a signifficant change of rides. Many who fly P-38 will fly P-47 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

La-7R ? WOW, that will be interesting http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

why are some aircraft only released for Russia? Just wondering ....

An going by the postings over the past few months, it looks to me that most will switch, not to the P-47D(M), but to the Mosquito.

Way cool listing! .... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Sniff.

Nice list. The boosted P-47 and Mosquito will be great, but I'm surprised we don't have Do-335 worship going on in full swing.

there's this general feeling that the Do335 will share the fate of the He162 and Me262 online. that's why I'm not bursting with joy. I hate disappointments and false hopes.

The Mossie will be great though http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif I am looking forward to the challenge.

Would be nice to have the Spitfire XIV. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif I see the Do-335A-0 is there, but would have liked the Do-335B-2 instead. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I hope i'm not sounding ungrateful..the list is fantastic and will grately increase online and offline(FMB) missions...but as a Spitfire nutcase, it seems odd to stop at the Mk IX without the 25LBs boost that came in early '44, i'm building a D-Day mission and certainly need it...and to not have a Griffon engined Spitfire ingame seems wrong...i can understand why theres no MkI, but to have '41-'43 Spitfires and no more...well i'm gabberflasted http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

But still the list is impressive http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

That La-7R should be good, same with the Yak3R, just hope it makes the western market. I'm also looking forward to that Do-335. Should be interesting.

I'm terribly disappointed about not getting the Ki-27; it was a key player for the IJAAF in China, Burma and the Phillippines well into '43, and by all accounts the ultimate cr@pplane.

Unrivaled maneuverability, spatted undercarriage, telescopic sight and popguns -- who could ask for more?

cheers

PS-It was rumored to give amazing gas mileage too...

quite dissapointed theres no XIV in the list or even a 25lbs boost spitfire, the tempest will be the only late war british/commonwealth plane. We could atleast have a 25lbs boost spitfire. US Russia, japan, germany all get their latewar monsters and then some http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Kuna15
08-23-2005, 07:44 PM
Toupee Spitfire MK.14 would certainly come handy but I would not cry too much over it considering whole picture.

IMO this news are one of the most thrilling about this game in the long long time. Even 4.01 is nothing compared to the recent Oleg's announcement. IMHO.

And if everything turns out right, we just may enjoy western edition of Russian add-on.

HellToupee
08-23-2005, 08:16 PM
Whole picture is US and germany get more latewar planes, No latewar spitfires not even boosted mk9s and only the tempest as a latewar plane. Mosqutio will be nice and all i look foward to it, but for the online flyers its not going to be much the p38 can best it in all ways accept firepower we arnt getting the bomber version. Onlt the ju88 mosquito tempest intrest me on that list.

1C has definitely outdone themselves, UBI sucks. They're too stupid to see the gain they could have by releasing the Russia only add on to the Western Market.

I UNDERSTAND WOTS GOING ON!

Russians get all great new planes .. westerners don't ... but Westerners have money but Russians don't ...Russians trade new planes for money, thus everyone happy! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif VERY SMART THINKING!

Ok, I'll start the bidding .. To any Russian out there .. I'll bid 50 Pacific Pesos (Australian $) for a copy of the Russian patch. Please post to :

OOOHHH!!!! NATE!!!!

Yep, now my China campaigns can be historically accurate .. YES!

Nates didn't actually take off .. they just sat on the runway until a gust of wind lifted them into the air.

Why LA7R and Yak3R Boosted prototypes? Would better to give us some

Yak-9R Was a tactical or photoreconnaissance version with specialized equipment.

Yak-9MPVO was a night fighter variant equipped with a searchlight and a radio compass.

Yak-9PD
A high altitude Yak9 with the M-105PD engine incorporating a two-stage gear driven supercharger and armed with a single 20 mm cannon. Its believed small numbers of this type, did see action against high flying German reconnaissance aircraft late in the war.

BI-6!

That's awesome. I'd only ever fly it once, but just the fact that it's being made in a sim is awesome. Ramjets are fun. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yak-9PD would be Awsum though. But, we have MiG-3U for that, and so it would suffer the same Fate on the arcade dogfight webboards. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

The FB.VI is optimised for low level. At low level it will give the P38 a run for its money IF we get the higher boost versions. If we just get the first versions with +9 boost it won't be very competitive. All the way to +25 would be much nicer.

yes a 25lbs boost mosquito would go nice with the 25lbs boost spitfire we have :/, i wouldnt get ur hopes up on a 25lbs boost version.

Sad story about this. Yak-3R was not fun according to its only pilot Rastorguev. He hated this aircraft, and it killed him (rocket blew up).
