To reduce the amount of false information spreading, I took the liberty in compiling video interviews on Assassin's Creed Revelations as a source of confirmed materials. I did this because the Assassin's Creed series is interesting, unique, and exciting. The problem is that it has quite an extensive lore that can confuse people. It is common to see people saying things like "I heard that...", "rumor has it...", or "so and so person said this", etc. There are bound to be more on YouTube and other media sites, but I typed up some notes regarding controversial or common questions. Feel free to comment back on new sources whether it's a video or a written interview.

Subject 16 is dead
- His essence found a way to hold onto the Animus
- Has access to other people who uses the Animus
- He is sort of a 3rd party spectator that sees everything in the Animus
(30:10)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESbSftHg0Yw

Altair and Ezio not directly related
- Comes from different families
- Down the line branches off and eventually converge to Desmond
(31:00)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ESbSftHg0Yw

Game takes place early in Masyaf
- The recent gameplay demo of Ezio killing Leandros takes place in the first hour
- Event takes place after the E3 CGI trailer

Info on the Seals of Altair
- Those Who Came Before artifact
- Used to archive memories themselves with sensory impressions
- 6th sense
- Altair recorded key moments of his life for future assassins
(1:15)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ2HHwrClqg

Desmond Brotherhood ending
- Voice occupys his head that causes him to stab Lucy (Subject 16? Juno?)
(3:14)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ2HHwrClqg

We could go anywhere
- AC3 could be in the future or past of Ezio's life time
- Follow Desmond's ancestors and if any historic person can possibly relate to him
(3:53)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQ2HHwrClqg

Why did Altair use the ledge grab and air assassination before writing the Codex?
- It was the spur of the moment, so Altair did something innovative
- Altair is "young and brash", so he becomes cocky and arrogant because Al Mualim recognizes him and appoints him as a Master Assassin
(13:30)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QoEt3F-RYg

Game is not linear
- It looks linear because the presenter wants to present the game in that matter
- Like past AC games, there are other ways to accomplish your goals
(18:45)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QoEt3F-RYg

Grand Master controversy
- The title The Mentor in the past applied to any Assassin who reached above Master Assassin level and achieved an extraordinary level of skill and wisdom to teach future generations of assassins.
- Communication between 2 different countries was a problem
- There were different assassin orders in other countries because it is an ancient order like the Templars' order
- The title of Mentor in Ezio's lifetime is for the Italian order
- By the 20th century, THE Mentor is the official title among the whole Assassin Order since communication has improved drastically
(20:00)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QoEt3F-RYg

Desmond's facial features
- New technology with better graphical quality such as better shaders. They had to remake Desmond's face because of it
(0:00)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...=channel_video_title (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqMAKGL1DpM&feature=channel_video_title)

Bloody footsteps in Assassin's Creed Brotherhood
- There's no real purpose to relate to the game's story
- From a technical point of view of playing the game, it was used to guide players back to the villa
(1:19)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...=channel_video_title (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqMAKGL1DpM&feature=channel_video_title)

Abstergo's Animus
- Projects the user's body in the world, which is why Desmond's body is the same as Altair
(10:00)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...=channel_video_title (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KqMAKGL1DpM&feature=channel_video_title)

What is the time gap between Brotherhood and Revelations?
- Revelations takes Ezio's story 4 years after Brotherhood
(0:35)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYIRf799ZOQ

Does Desmond's lineage relate to Those Who Came Before?
- Darby states that Ezio does indeed have traits of the First Civilization
- Darby: “uniquely high concentration of First Civilization (Those Who Came Before) DNA in his body”
- Explains why he has retained his skills so well as he was in his youth.
(2:07)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYIRf799ZOQ

Brotherhood's recruit and guild system will further be expanded
- When your Assassin recruits reach the Master Assassin level, you can go on missions with them and interact with each other.
- It helps make them more of a character than just a random person in your Assassin guild, or Order
(4:17)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYIRf799ZOQ

There is news that we will play some of Desmond's memories in the Black Room
- We will play key moments of Desmond's life as young as him being 15 years old to the present
(5:35)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYIRf799ZOQ

Leonardo da Vinci is NOT in Revelations
(7:25)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lYIRf799ZOQ

Stink bomb
- Can be used to isolate a target because the people around him or her will want to get away because of the smell
- Gives many options on how you want to go on after you isolate the target
(3:05)
http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360...ns-creed-revelations (http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/assassins-creed-revelations/video/6339426/five-new-things-in-assassins-creed-revelations)

New Feature for the Assassin Guild
- There will be a story or more information on an individual assassin. This will give more character to your assassins unlike in Brotherhood
- When an assassin is about to reach level 10, you must go on a special mission with him or her. The mission involves a target that is a character in the multiplayer
- The concept applies to level 15 and other levels too
(5:37)
http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360...ns-creed-revelations (http://uk.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/assassins-creed-revelations/video/6339426/five-new-things-in-assassins-creed-revelations)

Bomb shells
- The player needs a specific type of shell if they want to create different combs. For example, if you want to make a sticky bomb, you will need a special type of shell.
(2:21)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MR94TGc0bWo

New bomb type
sticky bomb
(2:52)
poison bomb
(3:26)

Info on the factions
- Ottomans vs Byzantines
- Byzantines are the remnants of those who were ruling Constantinople until the Ottomans invaded and took over.
- Byzantines are now a secret society and are heavily influenced by the Templars, so they are the Templar faction in Constantinople.
- Ottomans are like the regular guards in past AC games. They act as the police and they will ignore you unless you kill, pick pocket, etc in front of them.
- Byzantine soldiers are like the Templar Knights in AC1 where they will fight you no matter what if you are around them
(5:04)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MR94TGc0bWo

Possibility that there IS an AC3 team that is separate from the ACR team (I know it can be taken out of context).
(15:56)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MR94TGc0bWo

Notoriety and dens
- If your notoriety meter is maxed, the Byzantines will launch a large assault on dens (Darby says "attacks" and "dens".
- There is a chance of multiple dens getting attacked at the same time.
- Just remember that you can put a Master Assassin in charge of individual dens, so some of the locations will be safer compared to dens without a Master Assassin in charge of defending it.
(3:20)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xhI56V2yTk

How many dens/towers?
- 7 dens total: 6 in Constantinople and 1 in Galata.
- Same function as the Borgia Towers in ACB.
- If you lose a den, the shops will remain open, but the prices will be more expensive.
- The benefits of having a den under your control are allowing you to craft bombs, replenishes ingredients, challenge quests, etc.

On note of this topic and the inteviews, I really hope that the altiar segments are more like the War Machines than the Christina missions.

Thanks for the comments guys. I will try to edit this thread to be up to date with as much information as possible. Below is some notes from an interview that Gamer Spawn conducted with Darby McDevitt

Just found this interview entitled "Desmond's ancestry explained". I haven't watched it yet so I don't know if it is informative.

I lol'd at the part where it says that desmond is a very special boy. But, i guess it makes Desmond that much more interesting, to say he is the convergence of many more bloodlines. I can't wait to find out more about his past.

Me too, Desmond is finally becoming a more interesting character.

I'm more interested in the news about Eagle Vision.

Everyone has the potential for it, but the hybrids have more. This means that Humans could probably 'become' the TWCB in a sense by having all of their powers.
