Do anybody have a setup for CH Pro Throttle & Fighterstick. I plan to buy these, and would like to see have they can be used (set up) in IL2.

Best Regards
Lars

I had the full setup and loved it. Once you program it with the profile software it will work with IL2 no problems. I am currently looking at getting another setup myself as I can't go back to anything else.

I strongly recommend you download every snip you can get and analyze it, with the help-documents and tutorials.

Some things are pretty much self explaining, some really are way more difficult to program than with Saitek or Foxy (Cougar) software. However, with a little effort (3hrs), I managed to port my timed engine management to the CH-programming.

(Pressing left engine-button and pinkie for 3 seconds makes my left engine throttle to be set to 0, props to feather, fire extinguishers, then the other engine is selected.)

Sounds complicated, but saves you a lot of work in a 2 engined fighter or bomber. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

PM me, if you are interested in my settings and go, buy the best HOTAS on the market.

Nice mod with the X45 Throttle, Bearcat.

I am about to do something similar - mod my X45 to make it a programmable input device for flightsims and FPS. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

You do know that the Fighterstick does not have a rudder axis, right? Rudder control is absolutely necessary in this game, so if you don't already have the CH pedals, hold off on the CH Throttle and get the Pro Pedals with that Fighterstick instead.

That said, I love my CH HOTAS setup, but I use about 4 different sets of Control assignments in FB with a basic 6-axis, 34 button CH Controller setup (since I use TrackIR, I can use the POV hat for an extra 4 buttons...).

I allready have the CH Pro Pedals and the TrackIR. With the planned CH Fighterstick and CH Pro Throttle I guess I do not need the keyboard any longer!
Regarding the setup of these devices I will have a look at CH hangar. Thank you for your answers. Nice for a newbie with a forum like this http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Here is my setup. Just finnished it yesterday (took about eight hours). I put all X-45 joystick electronics into X-45 throttle and added 10 buttons ans two potentiometers (these work as aileron- and rudder trim, elevator trim is in throttle handle rotary. Note a little knob in thumb rotary, that makes very fast and smooth zoom function). I also put two buttons into MSFF2 handle. I add a couple of extra buttons in the future, if I find some space for them. Here are the pictures:

Wow, nice one! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Yeah, the Dremel is a hardware-modders friend - good to see I'm not alone with these kind of ideas. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blush.gif

Add the CH Throttle Quadrant into the Fighter-Stick/Pro-Throttle/Pro-Pedals mix and you have a nice auxiliary control unit with 6 sliders for flaps, trims, prop and mixture and 6 more two-way switches to off-load secondary stuff like landing gear, wheel lock, hook down, etc. from your primary stick/throttle buttons.
