I was going through the list of airplanes and noticed the u-2vs lnb is not flyable but only A/I. These planes were flown by the famous Night Witches female pilots. Easy to handle and fun to fly I bet a flyable u-2 would be popular with females (Ubi might profit by targeting this at the opposite sex).
It's a pity this plane is not flyable. I wanted to do my training in it.

Ha ha I doubt making it flyable would suddenly make females play this game but it would be neat to fly an "old" plane like that.

Did this plane carry some bombs or so, or just the rear gunner?

Up to 200 kg of bombs can be carried, mostly for night attacks.

The U-2 pilots reduced engine power to idle and then came gliding towards the germans without making any noise (this is how the germans knew the bombs were going to fall on them, the noise of the "sewing machine" suddenly stopped).

Not a bad target for Fw190, although full flaps/gear down would be a MUST to not overshoot...

It's not all about "fun". I was referring to the historical context of the subject. It would be fun/interesting for a modern female to see what it was like for the real females who flew in combat. I know there aren't many women who would want to play IL-2 but there could be a few who would think this would be an interesting thing to do. Put yourself in their shoes and see how much courage you'd have being a sitting duck...and they were women.

Most girls would probably rather take a P-39, La-7 or a Yak-3 and bust all our asses in fighter combat.

Well YOUR post gets my vote for the "biggest A$$hole" post of the day. Let the guy post whatever he likes and keep your opinion to yourself. Don't like it, don't read it..
And for sure don't reply to it without having some class.

You're most probably right. That said, a flyable U-2VS would still be a nice addition to the game.

- And thank you, Mortoma, for demonstrating just what "class" looks like.

He at least had an idea, a poor one ("females will buy FB because a plane that was flown by females is in it") but an idea none the less. You contradict yourself not once but TWICE in one post! First by tellling ME to have some class after you engage in mindless name-calling ("A$$hole") and then by saying he can post whatever he likes, but I must keep my opinion to myself!

Don't like it? DON"T READ IT.
