VAC is a great program... it has totally transformed offline play for me.

I agree. It took some time to construct a good profile, but it works! It makes a huge difference for me (even in online coops!), being able merely to speak to your wingman/flight/squadron, rather than trying to hit multiple keys in the middle of a furball. Shift_E even showed me how to bind my X52 ventrilo PTT key (Fire "D") to the VAC "deactivate" function. I'd advise you to take the time to fully "train" your voice profile, though. I never have any spoken commands go un-heeded now. It's a great program!

I agree this is a amazing little program!!
My problem is I'm right handed with a right handed joystick which means trying to do key commands with my left. This is a God send!! I can now fly and keep my eyes on screen!!

It's a great help for level bombing too.

I've set my bomb sight adjustments to voice command. Now I can talk my way through setting up the bomb site while flying the plane.

"increase sight distance"

"Decrease sight distance"

It's more than major cool.

It's way cool.

If you can hold on a day or so, I'm about to release version 1.5.0. I've been a little bit busy and hadn't updated the VAC web site. I'll get that done right now.

From the man himself. I feel special. lol

Thanks Shift_E, for this, for your work on this.

BC has been jumping up and down on comms everytime he controls his wingmen and stuff so I gotta try it lol.

Is there any good working german profile, or is it even possible?

Yes there is a German profile! In the "profiles" section look for Dastardly's profile for FB/PF it contains both English and German and VAC can switch the profiles just by telling it to!

Thanks Steve, but I will check out the 1.5v from Shift_E.

Sorry, I think the "German" profile is for German aircraft - the crew positions are mapped differently in the Heinkel to allied bombers - and is NOT a German speech recognition pack (which I think the chap above was asking).

However, I don't know how the underlying software works. Maybe if you have the regional MS dll or whatever the voice recognition will work with different languages?

In either case you'd have to build a new profile - **** Dastardly's are with English commands.
