I dont know if there already is a topic on this, but if there is one you can delete this one.

Any way this is what i think the franchise story is about

I think the franchise story is about DNA. Everybody has it. It could be that through a persons DNA they can see the memories of one of that person his ancistors through a matrix like machine. A corporation could have invented a machine that can "unlock/find" those hidden memories in a persons DNA, JR said that it wasn't exactly like the matrix in an interview Also if you look at last years live demo from the X06 you see the word Memory after Altair died. Far fetched? Who knows we will see.

What do you think?

Jade said it will not be like the Matrix or will ahve time travel. My guess it will just be someone reading something about one of their ancestors and you play what they are reading if that makes sense.

Stupid Question: is there really genetic memory in our DNA? And if so, can we see them in our thoughts?
I'm gonna feel like a complete airhead when someone answers me http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

research is being carried out

experiments with flat worms taught to curl in to a ball when a light was shined on them, these worms were then ground down and feed to other worms who began to show the same response

circumstantial evidence about human transplants also exists, with patients personalities exhibiting traits of the donor, also some skills like music ability from the transplantor to the transplantee

scientists working in the field also believe falling dreams and certain phobias that you are born with (snakes, birds, spiders etc) are a reoccurance off genetic memories

the falling dreams from back when were ape like and lived in trees, thats why you wake before you hit the ground, if your ancestor had hit the ground and died you wouldnt be around so you the memory ends before you smash and die

the phobias of types of animals are thought to be from when an anccestor was attacked by said animal but survived the inccident, but it was traumatic enough to be hard coded into memory that was passed on through thier genetics to you and every now and again they pop back up in a person - survival instinct gone wrong

also instincts are considered low level genetic memory .. but im bored writting go look it up and try and avoid all the genetic memory/alien creator/atlantis junk out there

@ thepheonix1030

there are some people who say they have dreams of there "previous lives" but what if they are the memories of your ancistors? i mean if you think about it a part of them is in your DNA.

OMG that's so freaky. I'm going bananas here http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif. I have had some very random dreams of people I don't even know. Weird...

haha but if it is a "DNA" franchise you can do so many things from ninja's (who are stealthier than assassins, they could be even a gardener or the post man even your dog http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif) to pirates but one thing is for sure this game is going to rock!!!!

Genetic memory is a very real and understood thing (on a basic level) at this point in history. Genetic memory explains the seemingly unexplainable such as when birds jump instinctively out of trees when learning to fly. A normal animal, such as a human or a cat, knows not to jump because our anscestors haven't been able to (and this is passed unto us through our genes). Birds, through some genetic process, are aware of their predecessors' ability to fly and, as such, do so themselves. Same goes for how certain predators feed on certain animals. You do not see lions attacking cheetahs and visa versa. Genetic memory is an extremely interesting concept - watch the movie "Waking Life" if you want to learn more about it.

Yeah genetic memory is cool. Like the fact that men have better vision at long distances and women have a wider vision. And it's because men used to hunt and had to be able to see things that were far away and women mostly worked at the campsite and had to have control of everything there, like the fire and watching kids and stuff like that.
