I am very sorry if this has been posted before. Did not find it in a search. Too bad Oleg didn't model wing-ground crew guys laying on the wings to guide pilots on taxiing along the ground. All in color, with some air to air, air to ground and complete take off preflight checks. I saw another P47 video, but this is the complete one. Give it some time to load, well worth it.

I'm not sure if I know this one, so I'll spend some time to download it - Your description sound promising http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif . Color footage is rather rare stuff, so every clip is appreciated. Thanks for info!

If you have not seen the color p47 video where it shows the ground crew laying on the wings of the p47 during taxiing out to the runway for pilot guidance, then this is one you probably have not seen. I didn't see that video till today.

Yeah this is the one that was posted in ORR a week or two ago. Its a fantastic bit of editing with some great combat footage of the jug in color. Very cool video.

I don't get how they made it look like the .50 cal's could really inflict such pain. MUST have been special effects!!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Seriously though, very good audio to match a great collection of videos. Some of these clips are on the "Air Power" DVD I've mentioned before. They have similar segments on the P-51, B17, B24, B25, and I think the P-38. I don't know how to copy and paste video or to capture still frames, but I would if I could. I found the P-47 and B-25 ones to be the most enlightening...there was alot more of the crews riding wing as seen here, plus some incredible video of damaged planes returning to camp and their pilots stories of why the Jug was such a delight to fly. Most acclaim their being alive today to the Jug's "9-lives".

Their is a good DVD 4 pack called WW2 Flying Fighters. It is in color.
One dvd is Thunderbolt
Second is The Mighty Flying Fortress in Action.
Third is The Fighting Lady. It is about WW2 carriers.
Fourth is Report from the Aleutians.

All have actual ww2 footage. This is a must for WW2 fans. I think I got mine from Best Buy.

I loved it great work whoever put it all together.

Yep we hardly do it any where near Full real.

Best we can do is FULL HARD GAME! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

For those of you that had mentioned about how this video goes to show that we fly no where near the level of full real, you are correct. But il2 does help us understand the flight models, learning how to fly a ww2 prop aircraft the way it should be flown. ( eg: not banking 90 degrees at 200 kph and pulling all the way back on the stick ) Most of us have learned that doing this will cause a stall then likely crash. What the game does not model, and you would probably need a good balance between graphics and this is; thermal updrafts, windshears, esp flying close to mountains and in valleys, dynamic weather and so forth. Also, we don't have to worry about our bodies being subjected to g-forces turning and coming out of high speed dives. If this were the case, maybe there would be a section in the manual that shows you how to grunt and tense up to better handle those forces.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif Awesome video.... the Jug engine sounds sure brings out the goosebumps. Now if we could have the real engine sounds ingame, that would make all the little downfalls seem not as bad.

.....thanks for sharing. ~S!~

in all seriousness anytime a P47 starts firing at anything in air or on the ground it shreds it and blows it up.

they may be taking a best of selection but the videos show that no matter what if a jugs starts hitting you with 8 50s you are bailing or dying. no other options. those guns are AS devastating as the german 20s . there are many more of them firing in the thousands.

only one term fits.

That was superb. I can't believe the strike power of those things! nd I thought i flew like a lunatic when doing ground pounding. Turns out I fly like the real guys did. That is a scary thought given the frequency with which I am reduced to smoking pieces of metal.
Outstanding.
