So, I thought I only had one Yak-3 on my tail, when infact it was THREE Yak-3's and two La-5's. Guess I shouldn't have pulled into the verticle, huh?

Tis but a flesh wound.

Probably not a good idea to pull up with a bunch of more agile planes on your six.

It's never a good idea to go vertical when someone is on your dead-six...

It is good to know your plane, and the minimum alt you can split S at all speeds, an awful lot of planes have flown into the deck trying to stay with a low split S performed by someone who knew what they were doing. S!

even more when split S is made by omeone that does not know what it is doing. If you fail at Split S.. probably your pursuer will too.. so... 1 friendly loss.l.. 5 enemy losss.. great tatical result :P a hero in fact!
