Im flying as the RAF in an old Buffulo and see the sight adjustments ahead of me but regardless of there being designated keys for this i cant seem to adjust the sights to the 50m mark that i take my shots at??

Any help.

Set them by adjusting your gun convergence and adjust your sighting angle accordingly.

and in the P-51D-20NA and YP-80 the sight can be "adjusted" in flight http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

But it wont let me adjust the sights below 100m!
I can hardly see the target at 100m let alone kill it!
Most shots i take are at below 40m.

Hmmm.

Is is maybe because what you are thinking is 100m is really 1000m (aka a Kilometer) and that what you think you are shooting at is really under 400m instead of what you may be thinking is 40m?

Just asking.

http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif can't see it at 100m? That seems to indicate either a monitor or resolution issue, or some REALLY big eye trouble. What's your res set to?

Are you talking about the gun sights here, or are you talking about your convergence range? It's not the same thing

Believe me below 100m the target is very large. I think you are getting your decimal points mixed up.

he says

"it won't let me adjust below 100m"

I'm pretty sure he's talking about convergence here http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Ummm sure you are not thinking 0.4 = 40m? 0.4 is actually 400m, about when you start to see an aircrafts wings in full wide angle view. At 100m most fighter aircraft will fit exactly into your gun sight at 40m an aircraft will almost fill your windscreen. If this is when you are shooting go ahead and set your convergance to 50m (you might have to live with 100m not sure), you won't need to do a thing to your sight as your guns are set up to converge at the dot at this range.

For the general shooting have you down loaded snipers corner yet? (have a look in the Nuggets Guide post at the top of general discussion lots of great tips there) This will show you where you need to aim in various situations and at various ranges. There is an old fighter pilots saying, always double the deflection on a target that you think you need then you will be about right. I often do this even now but pull the trigger and let the target slowly ease into the stream of bullets.

Hope this helps
