can you provide me with sources or model data which different gunsight was used in Ta-152H1 than FW190series , as ingame it seems to be another model ?
(plz no forward view related whining here, just want to clear something up, if its the same you may start http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif )

what i dont understand is why are they set so low? the germans were pretty technically advanced so i cant comprehend why the fw190s gunsight is darn near impossible to accurately deflection shoot with. it should be at least on par with the 109 gunsight. im quite tired of blind snapshots. enlighten me please

Interesting to note...I just bought a Flight Magazine that had a special on German Fighters...the USN report comparing a F6F, a F4U, and a FW190A-5 (I think it was A-5) mentioned that the side and rear views were excellent but that the forward view was sub-par in comparison to both F6F and F4U. I *think* the comment was that deflection shooting in both USN fighters was better than in the FW190...so that lends credence to what we've got.

As for gunsights...good question. There seems to be some confusion over this especially...although I had never noticed the Ta-152H using a different sight. Really?

than compare the position of the sight in Ta-152H1 , if its the same (thats why i asked) why isnt it in the same position like in the other FW190s (or why is it in the position in the FW190 ?!?)
From the cockpit view the Ta seems to have the front armour glass etc. and the size of a FW cockpit, screensots are almost 100% identical when not in the aiming view, only gunsight is elevated in Ta,
so i wanted to know the differences.

Link to the Fw 190, Corsair and Hellcat comparison. http://web.cetlink.net/~howardds/id92.htm

Observe that the Fw 190 used in the test didn't have its gunsight mounted.

oleg said the real ta152 had the sight mounted higher i think, hence ingame its higher..

i guess they did it for better deflection shooting, which is the normal reason http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

9/11 happened on tuesday and by saturdays game the students of Texas A&M had organized the whole stadium to where either red, white, or blue to show support for the country. an amazing act to coordinate ~83,000 people in less than a week.

If I remember correctly the armor glass is thicker in the Antons then in the TA, and because of less refraction the site had to be mounted higher.

so the normal FW versions had thicker armour glass (my book says 50mm thats a lot of glass http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif )
so i suppose it was not possible to mount it any higher, thx for the info and clearing that up
