I've recently gotten back to playing Descent3

Those guys are diehard MS Sidewinder lovers. Most of them are also tech gurus.

One of them has come up with an USB adapter that WORKS. It works for sidewinders 3d pros, precision pros and forcefeedback pros. He came up with the design, coding and manufacture himself so mad props to Grendel.

Right now they're looking for interest in the community to begin producing it in numbers. If you have an old gameport sidewinder joystick and it's keeping you from updating to windows vista or windows xp64 which dont support gameport devices anymore, this might be your answer

So far no price predictions have been made, but I'm guessing it will run relatively cheap.

bump

my sidewinder gamepad came with a usb adapter as well, but it doesnt work for my ffb pro.

I thought there were more ffbpro users among the community but guess i was wrong. If you know of someone that has one, please pass this along. Having no gameport support on newer OS's is what's keeping me from upgrading right now.

Unless you want to use the profiling software, Nothing WinXP, will run it on its own.

If you don't have the origional CD let me know and I can help you out on getting the drivers.

Once you get them, and if your running service pack 2,install them win safe mode.

Just how long do they take over there to send the registration conformation email?
I registered right after my first post.

Same here Badroadrunner, I've had my sidewinder Precision 2 for just about as long. It's a little loose, but still works like a charm!
