Back in the dark ages of VGA graphics, Rowan published an amazing game called "AirPower" (I think), which was set in an alternate world with giant zeppelins and hook on fighters. The planes all featured odd designs and you played, both as a pilot, and as some kind of warloard trying to take over the world. The game also featured a strange mix of exploration/negotiation more appropriate in a strategy game. Much better in my opinion than "Crimson Skies", which used some of the same ideas.
