This is not a screenshot as in when flipping it over... this is actually the way I parked it! Hm, it's strange the left wing doesn't seem to touch the ground looking at it's shadow... so... this is a perfect Single Point landing!

(I've already ordered TrackIR 3 Pro to improve my SA, so I can prevent these little mishaps from happening in the future....)

Any one else got mishap screenshots?
Just for the fun of it?

sometimes when you belly-land in a 109, the plane acts like it is actually on the groung, but when you look from the outside it looks like it is actually floating above the ground http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/354.gif

As far as i know, Spit had a very strong spinner. This is a text from a polish ace from 303Sq taken from a book owned by my father:

From page 927:

"and then the other 109 exploded in pieces just like the 190 before and then like that other He111. While i tried to recover from my dive going with lots of speed, i thought my plane was going to break apart. It was really hard, so hard that i could not exit the dive. So i hit the ground, but as i hit the french *****, errr beach, it simply got stuck nose down on the sand and i walked away stoned, err stuned..."

After that, ur landing seems to be perfectly possible to me. Good job.

Scanned from that book:

Those crazy Polish aces...always doing nose dives into the sand just to catch some R&R at the beach!

Dam' flak...

Noticed the 'Cat was getting a little twitchy in the controls during the approach.

Had to stick my foot out of the wheel well and catch the arrestor with my toes.

Any landing you can walk away from......

tankeriv, u cant get down the deck to the hangar by going this way. Try the elevator. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/10.gif

tankeriv, how'd you get your speed to -20?

That'd be a great maneuver... Pull the brakes and let him fly right by.

...and it would be handy for those 3-point landings. If you don't get lined up first time, you could just back up a little bit and try again http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Is it because he's backward and the ship is travelling at 20kph?

What actually happened whas that I was pulling the throttle however I thought I wouldn't make it.

And wanted to use the trick of shocks on shocks off etc etc etc.

So I cut the power and but on the brakes.

Didn't work. I tumbled over. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
