Is there a bug with the new version causing problems w FF? My Microsoft FF joystick does not work properly since game update. Does'nt work with Lock on either. Joystick is only a year old.

No issue here. I'm using a CH Products Force FX and it actually seems better. I think the annoying low level jerking forwards/backwards is gone. Need to test more but don't remember experiencing it since the upgrade

The propellor is there to keep the pilot cool. Switch it off and watch them sweat!

I'm having no problem with my MS-FF joystick, although I have never been able to figure out how to use it in game without first having to disable my gamepad.

It was like that when I got here.

If you get a FFB stick, your going to need a new one every few months if you want perfect centering. FFB is a disadvantage in everyway

I have not had any problems with my FF2 and the 1.21 patch.

Try reinstalling the joystick software and make sure you apply the patch if youâ're using a motherboard with a VIA chipset.

You will not get the joystick to work properly with Lock On as the force feedback effects in that game where not finished before the game went gold.

Hopefully they might fix this in the forth-coming patch.

LeadSpitter_ where on earth do you get your information from.

Sometimes I think you just make things up.

What kind of problem are you having?
I changed the FF setting in the game to lessen the jerking when the guns fire. They were too much for good control.

Baron.
I got the same stick had the same problem. I had to take the hand grip apart and twisted the rudder switch around for a few seconds. Reassembled and it worked fine again.
It is a bit fiddly to take apart & put back together so take your time and look where everything goes. A tip for you is at the front of the stick at the bottom right is a scew driver slot to lock the rudder twist. Lock it it makes it alot easier to assemble.
Hope this helps http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

ps. I have to do this every few weekshttp://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Force Feedback works exaclty as it has before (on my machine) (same bugs even that have been reported and not fixed since day 1)

I am a force feedback expert. Microsoft force feedback2 is the best force feedback stick for this sim. The force feedback will never go bad. It's just the buttons that wear out.

If you are having problems first make sure you don't have the Sidewinder software installed. It's not supported by Windows XP and can lead to bugs.

Well, Hello, Ray. I was starting to think you were gone for good.
