Whilst I have found the game play to be brilliant in COJ BIB in the past, on line it is getting a bit boring now. There are loads of new MP maps available to download and use, but when logging in to most online games it is in most cases the same old maps being played.
I have downloaded pretty much all of the new add on maps, and even tried hosting but I am told that I am producing only one red bar for most people trying to join with some experiencing time outs. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
Com'on folks, some of these guys (and girls??) have worked really hard and gone to a lot of trouble in producing some brilliant maps to use online. Why dont we start using more of them and in that way show some appreciation to these people http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/clap.gif.
I would host all of them if it were possible. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif

Hi Cobra

I made a similar post on the main forum and only had 110 views and only one reply.

It really is a crying shame that this hard work does not get played online.

I think we need a publicity drive here, if you are a map maker and have spent many hours on your work, then bombard the main forum with posts, links etc

Unfortunately I noticed the same thing. Not many games online, and almost always standard maps. I once tried to connect to a game with the map Mine, but then game crashed. Maybe it is because of bugs and crashes that people prefer to play standard maps.

I can assure you we're currently working on that issue, and pretty soon (during the next few days) the situation is likely to change.

Can't reveal details yet. We'll keep you posted. :-)

I agree with Cobra. I found a couple of games last night (Dust 2 and THe Mine) and the night before (Toycowboys) which made a refreshing change (Toycowboys is great fun for a shootout). I asked online why not more maps and the same answer of "crashing the Server" which is a pity. I tried out some other maps setting up on line and Antietem is brill, but I also have problems with signal (one red bar to others whilst hosting) so I have to rely on other hosts (I would welcome any help in changing this so I could host properly as I am not clever at solving these types of problems with computers!!).
If the problem of community generated O/L games can be fixed please do so as soon as you can Eltaar cos it will be good for the future development of the game at this its most important time.
btw what are these games marked T001-T002- etc now showing online. When looking at these they show 3 green bars but when in the game I find it constantly freezing every few seconds with the poor signal symbol coming up.

I created a new thread discussing this issue:
