NTL Phffft.

I cancelled my order from them only to continue getting bills for the next year, and warnings that they would send the bailifs round.

I lost count of the number of phone calls I made to thse idiots telling them I had already cancelled.

In the end they accepted and stopped sending me bills.

Then a week later one of their reps came round asking if I wanted to be disconnected, go figure.

I told him I was already disconnected, he said I wasnt but said he would send an engineer around to take care of it.

I told him, Seeing he was here I would save them the trouble, I got my tools out, took the panel off the connection box and cut every **** wire I could, screaming obsenaties at him.
whilst he was shouting "Thats NTL property".

He didnt come back. If he had done I would be in jail now for Killing the SOB.

NTL, send em to my house.

Well, 10mbps is all well and good, but that's the download. What about the upload speed? Noone ever mentions how much the upload speed is!!

If they are gonna up the conn to 10mbps but leave the upload at 300kbps, or whatever it is, then that's kinda useless.

At the new speed, it will take eight seconds for a full CD of music from a service such as iTunes and only minutes for a whole feature film to download.

"There will be no price rise, but customers will pay different rates depending on how much is downloaded, says Bill Goodland, NTL's internet director."

If that's the case I'll think I'll stick with what I've got.
