This is for everyone that lives outside the United States:

I'd like to ask you to please click reply and press SHIFT and 4 on the number bar above your qwerty or equivalent keyboard while your text cursor is in the input box. It would be marvelous if you could post the results here along with your country of origin.

This will be very useful for my undergraduate research. Thank you.

UK, does have a superscript Euro symbol on the key as well though

The results depends on your 'locale' settings for your keyboard. You can do this during Windoze install, or system settings.

the idea that $ stands for god i got it from the movie they live but ive been thinking the symbol looks a lot like a stuff and a snake, the caduceus, and this symbol used for the nazis as well stands for godhood

from were does this symbol come i bet is the caduceus or something masonic

I think this is actually a Dutch keyboard. Very old by IBM. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif (types very good though!)
