Hi Guy's, I'm relatively, no I'm completely lost to doing all this because I'm a total newbie. Anyhow I'm trying to learn all about this great sim as much as possible. I have just two questions to start? One is how do you prevent the default markinhgs of a plane showing up after you change the skin. An Example would be, 01 on a corsair, then changing the skin to Pappy Boyington's only to have the 01 still showing on the skin.
The 2nd question I have is probably going to generate many responses I hope. How come I can't fly worth a S*#T when playing online. The other guys seem to turn faster and tighter, shots are more accurate and devastating, etc etc. My system is fully capable of playing this game, besides I have two PC's that are both right up there with gaming technology. I consider myself a pretty decent pilot with well over 30 years of PC gaming flying experience. Any tips would be great, I'd like to at least be in the fight.
Thx .....Mike

Welcome to the forums and the best Combat Simulation on the planet!

The first tip is to read the manual, this will answer your first and many other questions you may need the answer to.
To disable markings Page 38 Aircraft customisation.
Further guides to the game can be found on Airwarfare Guides (http://www.airwarfare.com/guides.htm) and the Unofficial Community Created FAQ (http://www.airwarfare.com/sturmovik_101/faq_index.htm) pretty much covers other loose ends. Also any addons/ game improvements can be browsed on the Essentials Page (http://www.airwarfare.com/Sims/FB/fb_essential_files.htm)

Remember to have fun and enjoy your flight!
