If I understand you right, you just need to press the toggle snap/pan switch to shift back and forth. I don't think you'll have space to incorporate the keypress onto your tophat. If your stick has a shift key and profiling software then you could assign commands for most of the variables.

Firstly you would need to bind keys to the functions. You can use identical keypresses for the snap and pan commands, I just checked.

I haven't looked at this set of controls for a long time. What a lot of commands! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
It really shows up what a good piece of kit TrackIR is.

Is the hat-switch working?
You can set each angle of the hat switch to a certain view in the controls section (found on the main page of the game).

Note: snap view is the best to use, the view returns to the front as soon as you release the hat-switch.
The problem you might be having is that the snap views aren't set in the controls section (or that the pan views aren't set). Pressing the F9 key only changes between pan view and snap view, the views should still all be there if they are assigned in 'controls'.

You could map a button on the joystick to switch from pan view to 'snap view ' if you like. You should even be able to do that in the controls section, if not: your joystick software might allow you to programme buttons.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
