i think he is trying to say, go to realism and in there there is a check box for " allow external view" allow that and your golden. you wont be at 100 any more though. but you can take your picture.

It seems to me what he wants to do is enable the external view while he is in mid-patrol. I doubt that you can change such options while you are in patrol. You might try going into the config files and experiment with a few values, like changing a true to a false or a false to true and see what happens.

There is a way to negate the % hit that you take when you select a certain option, such as the view camera. However, that only counts when you are playing with a renown based game. The NYGM mod doesn't use renown, so I doubt that will be of much use. I think what van J, er, Freddie is trying to do is be able to use certain options which are disable by some mods.

I know a way to alter the game's files so that you can earn 100% renown while playing at less than 100% difficulty settings. Why would someone want to do that? In order to have the A.I. give you a 100% effort and not be penalized by using your external views for taking screenshots.

I detailed this method a long time ago, so maybe it's time for another posting of that topic. I'll start another thread for that one.

If your game is saved...

What you do is start a second kalun and give him external views. Exit and save that game.

Reload your first kalun and guess what. Your external views will work until you load that kalun again.

Sometimes a game bug can be useful.

NO a final thought. This doesn't work for all settings and now that I think about it, I don't know if it works for external views. It might only work for targeting.
