I am aware the level stabaliser can be used whilst piloting bombers. However,it is difficult to keep the plane on course and control bomb release. I have also found the bombsight(table 2)utility a helpful guide.
Would it be possible to add a bombadier slot to bombers so that a seperate player could be allocated? The bombadier could then communicate with his pilot and help guide the plane over target.

This is something I'm really hoping for in BoB. B-17II has a separate bombardier slot, and it works wonderfully.

Mate you can get your plane on the right track my using Rudder trim while looking through the bombsight. And you can select to be bomber in a coop mission.
So the options you are looking for is already here, you just haven't been looking for them.

Nobody but the Pilot can Bomb in Co-ops as far as I know,we had this discussion on comms the other night while doing some long distance level bombing missions and how great it would be (with player crew manning the gunner positions_

Yes LT is right we had this discussion the other night, only the Pilot can be bombardier in coops. I think that the way it is is good, caus if the gunners were bombardier and the pilot was still pilot, then the pilot wouldnt know what to do with the plane. The bombardier should have full control as it is at the moment, caus online noone would ever communicate well enough for the pilot and bombardier to sync good enough

Ty for your opinions. However I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree..lol!
I personally feel that via coms whilst online, the pilot and bombadier(as well as guncrew)could all comunicate with relative ease. It would also add a sense of realism. Whilst under attack, as is, can you fly the plane and succesfully bomb the target? I wonder?

Well, the point of level bombing is staying level, no flying required http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif level stabiliser and thats it, then you control plane from bombsight. This is how it should be done anyway, and its how i do it. I get along fine. Hit targets from 20000ft with fighters and AA all over me.

I am very pleased for you then danjama http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif!
Heavy fighter resistance at 20000 eh? Have you tried a low level bomrun, let's say at 1000? If you can succesfully fly and bomb from that range you are even better than you think!
Keep up the good work maestro http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/11.gif

Danjama and I both enjoy level bombing alot and to low level bomb is technically easier(just have to get release times right)no Bombsight settings involved.I have recently taken to Dive Bombing as well also very fun. If Im in the mood for Low level bombing I will take a Mossie and hit the deck at 500ft and just blast along at 250mph or so, nothing more fun then zipping across Normandy popping up dropping Ordance and zipping back to base.
Im not a great Dogfighter so I choose to excel at Ground Pounding(what can I say I like explosions LOL http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif)
