I know this is a complete nOOb questions, but I can't find an answer anywhere on this board (keeps timing out). How do I take screen shots? I can't find it in the manual, I can't find it online, I'm completely at a loss. Now that I've got the IL2 Manager (excellent BTW) I wanna start keeping screen shots! Help!

Jeez, now I feel like a complete idiot. It's that simple, huh? Well, thanks, and sorry I wasted server space!

Some video cards, like the ATI9700 will only give you a blue screenshot with some drivers. The other drawback to using the PrtSc button and allowing FB to take the screenshots, is that FB will write over them ~ easily losing the shot you may have wished to see.

To solve this problem i either use Fraps (just do a google/yahoo search) it takes screenshots with a key of your chosing - gives you framerates - and time/dates the screenshots into the folder of your choice. It is very easy on the CPU. The other way is to make a 'track' or recording of the battle you are entering. This too can be mapped to start/stop on a keyboard key. Later you can play back the track at 1/4 to 8x speed, pause, rotate and change views quite easily to get the best screens possible.

For instance check out these on my screenshot page: http://kinglx.freewebspace.com/photo.html
all taken with Fraps. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Thanks for all the info. Just so you know, now that I know how, it seems to work fine. It doesn't overwrite them, just adds them all to my FB folder. I'm using the IL2 Manager to auto convert them to JPG (so I don't have to buy Photoshop just to see them LOL). Now I just have to set up some groovy pictures! If you don't have the manager yet, do get it. It's on a french website, and hard to find. Mudmovers (wonderful site, BTW) has a link to it. Thanks again!
