anyone offer any feedback on the Logitech 3d force feedback?

Saw it on sale for $79 cdn...

Where does one find the x45? Asked around at several spots and no one has heard of it...

Thanks as always for your feedback...

Probably too late to help

Logitech if you search the forum has a bad rep for reliability. My non-force 3d already has a jumpy twist. I played the Logitech Force 3d for a night recently. Only fair. Lousy precision on centre and crude feeling FFB effects.

I bought a Microsoft FFB2 for 140 Canadian. They may drop or not as the stock runs out. They are apparently no longer in production. Also note Microsoft Xp does not appear to work correctly with the Microsoft joystick - FFB effects for flight control forces are not correct and presently the fix is to run 98.

The stick itself is marvelous and is FAR superior to the Logitech.

Never tried the Saitek but I would compare it to the Logitech and consider software issues before purchase. Saitek Web review said it 'got really hot with continuous play'. I'm not sure what 'really hot' means but it doesn't sound good

I'll one up you on that eismojo!! I had my cyborg3D, before it was even called "gold". I had it for more than 3 years, and i finally cracked the seal on the twist rudder. I went out about a month ago, and bought the "Cyborg EVO"... and i like it even more than the gold. More buttons, smoother controls, and nifty looking too /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif . All this, and only $10 more.

You may have to order the X45, it tends to be an "in stock" item only in larger population centers.

I have that stick. the wingman force feed back 3d.....
took me 4 days to get it dailed in right. Calibration was a total pain in the arse. So far it's not broken. the only reason i baought it is it wasn an upgrade from my old stick the Logi-junk winman xtreame 3d. wich i bought at Christmas last year so it lasted about 9 months before it died. Only reason i like them is they're uncomplicated in use & the button locations fit my hand well. not to mention .....i cant afford a better one right now/i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif
& 70$ is way too high. Wallmart has them for around $45.00 (us)

Windows XP has absolutely no problems with MS FFB2, which is a USB version and uses the V4.0 driver. It's MS FFB1, which uses game port and V3.2 driver, that does not work well with Windows XP.

The feedback on MS FFB2 is really great. Get one (or two) while still in stock.

Best Buy....MSFFB $59 no rebate...best FFB stick out IMO. I will NEVER buy a Logitech product again.... I will stick with Saitek or give the CH/Cougars a shot before Logitech gets one red cent of my $$$$.

I've used the MSFF2 for a few years now (my original gameport version was handed down to my kids and still works!), but am making the switch to an all CH setup (throttle, fighterstick, pedals). I plan on hanging onto my MSFF2 as they will be hard to get in short order.
