@ 3:15 secs. into preview movie a vet says,"My first f(l)ight in the corsair and I downed 5 zero's.."
I cant really tell if he says FIRST FIGHT OR FIRST FLIGHT.Either way thats one way to put it!!Testament to the plane.
Too bad for the axis pilots that there werent any ppl to get their side of the story on their planes.
One nation refuses to recognize even stuff that can be backed by photos/film footage and the other is bound by some restriction as to where they cant even have period items in their posession.

Pffffft! Over popular, overhyped, hose nosed ensign eliminators. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

Grumman won the war. The Wildcats held them back long enough for the Hellcats to come online nad begin the offensive push. And let's not forget about the bombers that did so much of the heavy lifting.

oh, and you Grumman fans, we love you guys too! one of our next projects is the the kitty, after the "Jug". Interesting to hear the WWII Vets talking about getting in dogfights in F4U vs F6F. That is in the Documentary as well.
