Sometimes I wonder what I have started, buying these games. I saw IL-2 Sturmovik in the "sales" department of a game store a few months ago for about " 5,- and thought let''s give it a try. I was never a game person before. I tried Morrowind and Myst a few years ago but was bored very soon. But with IL-2 it was something different. Stimulated by this forum I bought AEP and PF subsequently and almost every day I play for an hour or so. I also upgraded my graphic card, my mobo and my cpu. And tonight I couldn't withstand ordering TrackIR3. So what started with a cheap deal has cost me a lot of money until now. But I still don't regret it and I suppose I am not the only one.

Im feeling you...... I was a guy who had so many pieces of software from the $9.99 bin.... that didnt work.... and I also refused to spend more than $14.00 US on my first real joystick...

Flash forward to 3 homebuilt computers,MSFFB2 stick (one in the closet as a spare),X45,TIR,CHPedals... 6800GT256 OCd.... My thinking now is... IMMERSION!!!! This sim is by far the most bang for enjoyment buck I have ever gotten out of something that came of of a store shelf...... bar nothing.
