I just noticed this, but my gunpod barrels on the 190's and the 109's used to be black. Now all of a sudden their red. What gives?

Did you fire a very long burst? /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Two options I think: a skin you use, or some problems with the graphics. You can try changing video settings (both in game and for the video card), update/reinstall the video drivers (or did you do an update for them recently? thne try the older version).
And you could at last try reinstalling FB

I don`t want to sound harsh, but where`s the information? We don`t have telepathic abilities (at least most of us /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif ) . You can`t just jump up and say `This happened to me - Wah!` Without any explanation as to the circumstances in which it occured. What where the circumstances? Explain this to us then we can help you.
Sheesh!

switch off S3TC texture filter to None

"The picture repeats itself when operations, which began with great intent and local successes, degenerated into senseless, wild hammering at fixed front-line positions once they encounter initial heavy losses and unforeseen situations. This incomprehensible phenomenon appears again and again. But, even in extremis, the Russian is never logical; he falls back on his natural instinct, and the nature of the Russian is to use mass, steamroller tactics, and adherence to given objectives without regard to changing situations."

German 9th Army report after repulsing the Soviet offensive "Mars" in Rzhev bulge, December 1942.

Yep, the S3TC compression seems to do the same thing to me (running OpenGL.) The problem is that I need to use S3TC to avoid stutter problems when playing. I guess the red tinted gun barrels are the lesser of two evils for me.

I was able to fix this one way or another by switching off some of the S3TC options in the texture menu. Just uncheck some things and keep testing.

I always thought this is a feature... like "wow, cool, they painted those babies red to make them look more evil."
