View Full Version : Notice To those Posting Vulgar Comments

XyZspineZyX

First let me start by thanking the 99.9% of people posting in these forums for not willfully posting vulgar comments.

My children read these forums and should not have to put up with it. After all, this is a "game website" and you should expect an audience of children. To disregard this fact can only be viewed as child abuse. As a result, I request (Hunter82, I beg you!) that those who post such trash as was just deleted a few minutes ago have their IP addresses posted so I can turn them over to my friend who works for the IT department of a spammer. He will be very happy to go into the offender's computer. Make it print solid print pages until the printer is out of ink. Then he will erase the offender's hard drive and BIOS.

Again, thank you to those who at least attempt to post responsibly.

Though I agree the bad language should not be allowed, I dont think the solution is to hack someones computer.

LOL. IT department of a spammer ! Priceless !

Oh, and if this lamer wants to make my Epson LX-300 printer to print "solid print pages until the printer is out of ink", he'll need to do only 3 simple procedures:

1) Come to my place and turn the printer ON
2) Insert the paper manually
3) Start printing

Erase Hard drive and bios ? LMAO

Now I don't know how qualified is that friend of yours, but obviously, his boss is surely a LAMER simply because he hired that dude /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

P.S.

Here's one thing I agree with - obscenities should be kept ot of this forum.

I do hope your children are not reading your post. You seem to think its O.K to hack and destroy other peoples property.
What kind of example are you setting?
Also I hope your children are 11+ because as a responsible parent they should not even be aloud to play FB yet alone be able to access the internet unattended.

With games out there such as "Skateboarding" that splatter blood everywhere being given to children every day, this game is tame by comparison. It's too bad you folks find the security of a child abuser's computer to be a more compelling cause. Oh yeah, and keep laughing about my friend's ability to do this. I've sat and watched him remotely turn printers on! Guess what, he didn't even use his own computer to do it either!

Let's see:

1. You view bad language as "child abuse."

2. Your solution for this bad language is to commit a crime - that is, hack into someone else's property for the sole purpose of being destructive.

You're an idiot. Frankly, I feel sorry for your kids - them having to inherit your genes is a form of abuse.

Or at least a terrible misfortune.

I Totally agree with you, I dont know why it cant have a language filter installed like the UBI Com has to blank out inappropriate words..I do disagree with your solution though, i would also get rid of the link at the top of the page to the as that when i looked i last looked is full of porn...why UBI are linking people including children who come on here to a site that contains adult posts with only the get out clause message is beyond me, they try to put themselves over as a company selling family games then add a link to a site containing adult material. i realise you now have to register but prior to that there was no warning or protection.

Hey guys, enough with the flaming. I agree that some people shouldnt use bad language a lot, but if his kids pick it up, it's Luckyboy's own fault because kids generally are not stupid enough to start swearing because they see other people doing it.

Might I remind you that other kids at school probably use bad language, so it is impossible to shield them from that completely unless you keep them locked in the basement and block every channel from the TV.

Maliciously messing up people's computers is also a criminal offense, and it's like killing a bear with artillery, you don't need to go to that extent.

Vulgar Comments.......
Well as you stated it was removed ?
thats the way they handle the situation...
and I think they have notified them not to use that vulgar
stuff again or they will be punished..in some way..
I can and will say this ..no vugar comments should be in this forum
Most of the community here knows not to post vulgar comments
and its in the rules also.
and I think we all understand that.
Its a forum.It happens
.anybody can post and say what they want...but its a child that dont think about what they are saying .or a child that didnt read the rules that did the vulgar comment....
If you think your children might read something that might have a vulgar comment in it ..I say.. dont let them read it ..
The peps that control this forum have alot of things to read and they are doing the best they can trying to sort out all this stuff..

Maybe you can try and get the job as forum police and spend all day trying to figure out this mess..??

My hats off to the men and woman that control this forum and I think they do a very good job...

your usual liberal post about parenthood.

why dont you take some responsibility and actually try to monitor what your children do instead of instantly putting the blame on someone else.

you are to blame for what your kids read on the internet. if there too young to read it they shouldnt even have access to the internet without parental supervision.

Well, maybe we should get you IP address so we can turn it over to the Fed's. Hacking is still illegal as far as I know and I'd like to see you put away, idiot.

Oh, and BTW: You are responsible for policing what content your children see, not UBI, the Mods of this (or any other forum) or anyone else out side of your household. So, get a grip before posting such nonsense.

Another example of people to lazy to take responsibility for their children.

I would like to thank LEXX Luthor for the links. A very positive and intelligent response to my stupid ranting and raving! This post goes to show that well thought out posts fade away quickly. When you make a big boob of yourself, it sticks around the top forever!!!! Well... I guess I have it coming!

A couple of notes though....

1) My daughter is not under 11 years of age.

2) Parental controls (computer filters) don't work

3) I do check to see what she's doing with the computer, that's what led to my stupid post in the first place.

4) This is a site that children visit daily. I wish there was as many comments showing concern for this as there was for your precious PC

5) I could have edited my comments, but let them stand and added an apology, so why the continual flaming?

6) I plan to use LEXX Luthor and SeaFire LIV as an example of how to behave in this forum., not cheap shot artists like Buzz U who posts well after my apology and then gives vague criticism to my writings in general as an example of how to behave in this forum.

While vulgarity should not be, and in fact is not, tolerated here, I would be much more concerned about the effect of teaching children that the appropiate response to offensive behavior is to perpetrate a crime against that individual. Seriously, if someone cussed in front of your kids would you beat them up? If so, your value system is seriously twisted.

"Children" above the age of 11 should all take a curse class so they learn how to use curse words and what they mean. This way it won't be abused as much as it is now.

If you really think your child takes damange from reading foul language on a forum post(I then must add you're an idiot for even thinking that) don't let her ONLINE AT ALL.

Lock her in a white room and throw away the key.

You know what I find funny... just the fact that you're thinking that by getting rid of obscenities here you're a good parent and have done your job.

While in the meantime, especially since she's not under 11, she probably gets exposed in school to far worse things than on these forums. What do you think, they play jump rope over there and wear these little earmuffs that filter crap out?

They haven't been invented yet as far as I recall.

It's just like Marlon Brando says in Apocalypse Now:

"They taught us to drop fire on people... but we weren't allowed to write 'F**k' on our airplanes because it's obscene."

They play Scarface on TV, where the guy uses the chainsaw to kill someone, and yet... they can't use "obscene" words.... Yeah, like that's gonna make a difference. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

It's funny that you would single me out. What I said was pretty mild compared to others.

I ragged on you after your apology for two reasons. The first one was i got to the thread late, and wanted to say how I felt about it. the second reason is I think you apologized only because of the reaction of all the posts. If anybody had gone along with you. You never would have.

That's internet for you.

- 4) This is a site that children visit daily. I wish there
- was as many comments showing concern for this as there
- was for your precious PC

The "official" sites are not always the best to find real information. If the kids are looking for real gaming discussion, they may enjoy http://www.simhq.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi much better than watching us rapidly ageing hi post count Noobs make insults at each other. ubi.com is just a way for old men to pretend like we are school brats again, but it is alot of fun though. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

EDIT....and they have an IL~2 and a FB forum too.

hey...IATL !
