I'm not sure if it i'm the only one but have you guys noticed that the bi-1 (the ruskie rocket plane) has a tendency to roll to the left? any chance the auto level function will be enabled for fighters too so that armchair pilots like us can go grab something while the plane is flying level.

It will hardly be implemented for fighters... devs have pretty much said the last word as far as those things are concerned.

BTW I never noticed it, I TBH I wouldn't expect it... it's a rocket fighter it doesn't have a prop to give it torque to one or the other side... must be the design issue then.

Check your stick calibration.

i did but it starts rolling once i input something in the joystick. i just calibrated the joystick with no avail. help

I'm afraid there's no much help... my Bi-1 also rolls to the left, but Bi-6 seems to hold straight (no tendency to roll over on either side).

Give it a bit of right rudder. Lay off the aileron.

It only has about 8 minutes fuel with full tanks (or even less?)...you must be flying with unlimited fuel to need a break while flying that thing http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

i never noticed this. I have however noticed that the thing starts pitching down violently at around 740km/h and until you slow down under that speed, you cant control the aircraft. Very annoying i must say. Does anyone know why it does that?

It is interested to notice that Bi-6 experience that effect on a greater speed http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif .
It noses down at speeds around 790kph.

BTW if it noses down it is very hard to recover and you'll likely crash, I discovered that if I persist giving it full throttle all the way Bi will fly inverted loop which gives me enough time to chop the throttle and reduce speed thus effectively recovering http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif .

Also Bi-1 has 45 RPG while Bi-6 has 90 rounds per gun (ShVAK). Ain't much really.

It's supposed to. That's Mach Tuck. The elevators are being shadowed by shock waves from the wings.
It happens to pilots who exceed their non-supersonic planes' critical Mach.

The Me-163 experienced the same thing at higher speed. (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/andrew.walker6/komet/flight/flight1.htm)

That was the main issue with the real BI, and the reason it wasn't put in production. In fact, it crashed and killed its pilot. The program simulates it quite well.

You just can't be so fast with it.

Yeah but sometimes it is fun just zooming up, even with limited fuel i want it to glide straight down to the direction i want to land, i don't want to keep holding the joystick while i'm trying hard to glide back to friendly area. Hope this gets fixed in the next patch http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

nothing is broken, as the others have written, the real thing was very unstable and had a nasty mach tuck. I doubt it was very stable to glide in real life either. Anyway there won't be another patch.
