Antyhing on Mitchell's 4-engined bomber, old chum? I haven't got access to a scanner - but there are some nice piccies in some of my books.

Yep, Supermarines 316 and 317 are covered, there's a couple of line drawings, Photo of a model 317 and another of the partly built 1939 317 prototype... I'll scan the relevent tomorrow and post it asap... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I'd heard about it, but I never realised it was so, feasible.

Considering the short period of time it took him to get Upkeep done, I reckon it would've worked. And we know that the TallBoy/GrandSlam concept was a great one.

Shame that the powers that be didn't listen. Could have saved a lot of lives.
