-I was at the bookstore this weekend and I happened to wander thru the magazine section. The first thing that caught my eye was the cover story in WWIIhistory titled"B-17's in Russia! I opened it and read all about operation frantic. here is a link to some info http://www.b-17combatcrewmen.org/Freeman.htm-I was going to post this to further boost support for a B-17 in FB, but as I was catching up on the boards today I saw the great work allready being addressed on this topic. The neat ending of this otherwise lukewarm post is that the very next aviation mag I glanced trough had a pretty solid review of FB! It spoke well of graphics, FM, and aircraft choices. It hinted that the "historical" aspects were a little dry, but that's par for the course. I exitedly showed the article to my wife"look honey! does this look familiar?" she just looked at it, rolled her eyes at me, and muttered under her breath"like I didn't just spend all weekend looking at that damn game!"-ouch! I guess we all owe our life partners some thanks for tolerating our habits as much as they do. [for those of you who haven't the time/inclination for relationships, I bet you fly better than me, but at least I get some lovin when I can manage to, ummm, let go of my stick. heh heh.]-~S~ folks!
