The problem I've had is that the scope/gunsight thing is right where I want to be looking during approach to the ship, which makes it a lot harder than other planes for me.
Is there a technique or some kind of work-a-round for this...or is that just the way it is (and really was) for this plane?
Thanks!

IRL a pilot could move his head, that was NOT (like in game) nailed to the headrest.

An approach to solve your problem might be turning into final just a few seconds before you trap.

Couple of ideas to help.

1. You don't need to see the deck of the ship to land/know it it there. Figure out where the deck is in relation to the island.

2. Side slip in for the last little bit to look around the gunsight.

Landing the Bufallo I find a breeze as the plane flies so slowly. Unless you are landing on as escort carrier, the deck is soooo HUGE I can't see what the problem is.

I think the best idea is to practice more.
