Actually a good question.

It's only funny til someone loses an eye....then it's hilarious

They arn't responsible enough I guess. Oleg felt they needed to prove they were responsible enough to handle it before he gave them their mixture controls back.

So the badly-behaved aircraft have had their mixture control privileges revoked?

Seems fair I guess

The 109 (and most of the German aircraft) had automatic Mixture Controls. You could still manually select the Mixture control, but none of the Aces ever used them.

IIRC first the 109E-7 received autom. Pitch/Mix controll. All forerunners to the E-7 had hand controlled adjustment.

I don't know whether this has been mentioned but it seems that all American made planes lost there mixture control capability as well as Hurricane. How could this obvious thing get by Beta Testors?

Hmm, my Republic P47s still have mixture control.

Oops! Sorry. You're right he P-47 does have mixture ontrol. In my embarrassment I rechecked British and USA planes and all P-39s, Hurricanes, and all P-40s except flield mod do not have mixture controls functioning.

Dumb question time!
Do you guys mean the handle in the cockpit doesn't move, or does the mixture control actually not work? I've never used the mixture control in any planes because I could never tell what it was set at anyway (pre-patch). How do you tell what your mixture is at? What am I missing?

If you're referring to the German planes losing mixture control, it's because the Bosch fuel injection system did not require a mixture adjustment in the normal sense, although the mapping ratio could be ground-adjusted like someone working on a modern car's settings.

LOL

not sure if its a bug or historical but many ac now do not have fuel mixture control only yak & la and a few others

I know the late 109 had auto mix built in too them

It never did anything anyway prepatch I tested late 109 pre patch no effect when mixing fuel

only ac that it deemed to actualy help prepatch imo is the yaks la's p47 (could barley tell)

Read the read me that came in the patch.......

You just might learn something
