Ok, I went to sleep last night and woke up to this new revelation. I found the patch BUT does Le Switcher work with it? And how do I jigger the rig to make it work? Afraid to install this patch until I find out although already there are two servers on HL with this 4.071 patch. Lawdy lawd, things to change fast in this sim.

Yeah, thanks to a lot of midnight oil-burning by Oleg & Co, a large number of corrections have been made, mostly to details of aircraft. This is a beta, in the sense that fixable bugs are being sought for 9 (maybe 8 now) days before a finished 4.071 patch is available.
This is not the final 4.08 - that is yet to come. o71 is typical of the polishing that's always taken place after a major release http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Quazi has issued a switcher add-on for 4071m<407. This will work alongside JG2-MIKE's Switch, so 4071m<>404m is available and works perfectly. The thread is located in the Community Help forum , and clearly labelled.

Thanks guy. Maybe I should wait for the 4.071 finsished, whatever that might be called. Betas are kinda scary.

What's scary is that a beta test TEAM had 4.07 for MONTHS and didn't catch some of the bugs. I salute Oleg &Co. for all their hard work getting the patch done so quickly, though.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Where would information be posted about patch releases for 4.07? I wasn't aware of a 4.071 beta patch until I saw a 4.07 game on HL. I usually visit the Pacific Fighters forum regularly and don't recall seeing a post about it there.

4.071 BETA works quite well - no need to be afraid of it.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif Thanks. I girded my loins, so to speak, and installed it. Works just fine.
