LOL THATS TOO FUNNY.

i made a short video of one neat close call i had.

after foiling his initial attempt to get me, i went after this p51 and he made a diving turn to the right so i stayed level and was going to lead turn him and drop in on him. but i did it too early and this p51 reversed and was all over me.

you'll just have to watch the vid to see what happened next.

At the start of WW2 the German army lacked experienced anti-aircraft gunners. The average gunner was so bad that the USSR decided to help them out. They did it by forcing some of their pilots to fly I-153 flak magnets. These planes were slow but very sturdy. This allowed German anti-aircraft gunners to get a large amount of target practice on a relatively small number of planes. Thanks to the Soviets help, by the end of the war the German anti-aircraft gunners were amoung the best in the world.</center>

My weirdest kill happened in US Navy Fighters. I was chasing an Su27 in an F18(i think). I had assigned my wingman to engage his wingman and they were off fighting close by, but i didn't keep track of them 'cause I'm really focused on this Su27.
I finally manuver to get a 'lock' on this Sukoi and launch an AIM120 from about 3/4 of a mile. As soon as the missile launches my wingman appears from nowhere, he swoops down on the Su27's 6 from above and the heat sig attracks my 120 like a magnet, goes into his right engine and boom - blows him out of the sky. So weird i couldn't stop laughing for about half an hour. /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

hehe lol that kast one reminds me of my days playing the old F-22 Total Air War. I think it was a training mission which I had finished and I was just flying around near a KC-135 tanker. I got bored so I got a lock on the tanker and fired 1 sidewinder. The KC-135 dumped decoys and then just before the missile would hit rolled wings vertical. the missile missed and went between the wing and tailplane but by this stage the tanker was beyond vertical and was diving right down. It never pulled up and flew into the ground at over 600 mph. it was very funny to watch

I was badly hit over an enemy base in a Mig and bailed out, as I ran across the tarmac, I nailed a landing plane with my forehead and ripped off his wing.

Funniest I've seen was my wingman. 4 I-16's one of them me went head on with 3 BF-109's in a campaign. Anyway my wingman and a BF-109 played chicken sort of like in the movie "Pearl Harbor" Then as they broke before they collided their wings struck each other.
The BF-109's wing tore off, and the I-16's wing was left enscathed. Which I thought was really hilarious as he kept on dogfighting.

For me it was when I was hopelessly chasing a BF-109 who was running away in my I-153 with quad machineguns. Anyway I dove and gained on him all I could. Zoomed in on my gunsight as delete and shift+F1 will get you right up on the thing. I aimed high over him, and let loose a burst of green tracers.
Suddenly a few moments later he pitched straight up in the air until he stalled, and then went nose first into terra firma. All I could figure was I hit his elevator, and blew it off. It was a crazy shot though and had to have been at least 1200 meters.

I had to laugh the other night when in a turn fight with a 109 (AI BTW) I was about to open fire when I sneezed, inadvertantly squeezing my cannon button. The 109 dropped like a stone. I couldn't really claim any credit for the kill and my wife wondered why I was laughing so hard.

My weirdest kill was when I was flying a mission when I noticed a tank and flew towards it. The tank fired its main gun at me, tearing my aircraft's wing off. My plane went into a spin and flew straight into the tank, destroying it. Although this was quite lucky, and my plane was destroyed, it was quite satisfying to have got my revenge on the tank! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

my weirdest kill was in a P-39

i was flying full real , cruising to the target
suddenly i hear the distinctive sound of the mk 108
and see tracers flying overhead
b4 i reacted and would have breaked left the german fly's over me
without realising it i press the cannon button , click click click , german got hit in the feul tank and went down

what was so weird 'bout it i din'd even know who shot him @ the time , untill i read the kill message
i remember yelling out, " Yeah son of a biotch ! come get some ! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

My weirdest kill was in IL2 FB. I had to bail because my aircraft was on fire, and I bailed. The next thing I know, my chute hits an enemy plane, and the plane's wing is ripped off, but my chute stayed intact! /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif )

well i can't really claim it as my kill but this has happened a couple of times online....(and it's not really that weird)

one thing i hate in online games is when everyone on your team is out for themselves...ie if two or more planes are on an enemies six everyone clamours for the kill - as opposed to taking a few shots then letting the other guy have a few etc - team play kinda thing - this kind of attitus leads to dangerous situations most of the time.

almost completely crippled and out of ammo in my Lagg3Series4 i was desperately trying to make it back to base - with two La7s hovering behind me taking potshots.- i basically knew i was dead unless a miracle happened, i was trying my best evasive manoeveurs. I could tell they were close to each other by the icons distance - and i hoped and hoped.... and then it happened - i looked behind me again - and nothing - they had gone - the two eager idjuts had crashed into each other /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

i had to laugh as i sailed back to base - and heard them argueing with each other about who crashed into who /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

my wierdest kill?

I was in a 190F-8 with AB bombs loaded in a D/F server.

I got jumped by a fighter and released my load, the attacker and I dove for the deck, his Hurricane took most of an AB-500 spread on the way down!

One time I was in a Stuka at low level, and got attacked by 2 Yak-1s and 2 I-16s on the way back to base.

I did a split S from 300m or so and one of the I-16s stalled and spun into the ground. The other 3 stayed with me and into a level turn. I watch from external camera as the I-16 in the back fired at me, but hit the yak-1 in from of him instead. The Yak-1 lost a wing, coliding with the other Yak-1 and exploding. The I-16 hit the debris and lost a wing.

Even better, I bagged another Yak on the way back to base with my cannons. I single handedly killed all the human players on their team /i/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif .

I am now accepting donations to buy the smilies a new home.
