we all know that altair is syrian and we relived his memories during the year 1191 and during this timespan he was roughly 25 and supposedly after he kills almualim he takes over as leader of the assassins, evident by his last letter after killing almualim, yet in 1256 the mongols destroyed the assassins` stronghold by that time altair would be 65. my concept is that the mongols attack and the assassins fight but in vain and they start the invasion of masyaf but altair escapes by a ship to italy with his child, or children, and wife and settle down there... (i wont write discuss cuz this word annoys a certain someone) PS:i used the find button and found nothing concerning this topic.

That makes sense but do you really think that Altair would be as fit at 65 as they show in bloodlines.

Altair may have not moved to Italy at all. 300 years separate him and Ezio, could be Altair's children or grandchildren that moved there...

it was confirmed by the game's writer (his name always escapes me) that Altair did not immigrate to Italy, i'll try searching the source but it is confirmed by him that Altair did not got to Italy, and somwhere along the previews about Monteriggioni (hope i spelled that right) Assassin's Villa. Ancestral armour passed down from generation can be seen, including Genghis Khan's armour. So something with the Mongol storyline can be made out with that piece of armour as the writer explained that the game will reveal more about the Auditore family history in the villa
