As much as I love the Assassin's Creed series, and dislike the hype around the COD series in general, I would have to say no. It will not. I doubt it ever will.

Personally, I don't want the sales #'s for AC to be anywhere near those of MW (just enough to keep the franchise profitable would be just right).

My (snobbish and elitist) thinking behind this opinion is that MW appeals to the mass-market. If (hopefully not when) AC hits this point, the money-changers at Ubi corporate will barely be able to see thru the $ signs in their eyes and will pressure the AC developers to create a game that further appeals to the mainstream. And once that happens, the franchise is doomed to sucksville.

As much AC is better then CoD in EVERY way possible, CoD attracts the attention of the focus group of video gaming. ******ed 12 year olds. And it has such a big bandwagon.

I agree that it definitely wont, however, depending on the success of AC:B, AC 3, or whatever comes next, may attract an even larger audience. The multiplayer will undoubtedly be great, but I think the key for the next game is to really expand on it, because that's what made CoD so popular.

Outsell MW2? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/88.gif Some of you guys are truly delusional if you think it will even get close. The amount of garbage topics like this really need to be limited. These forums are a mess to read through.

What made CoD so popular?
No, it's just a very big and strong bandwagon.
